Great rendition... he’s taking the form of the tune and making it his..he’s not Wes, the way a musician plays should be an extension of his/hers personality... not necessary for him to sound like Wes or anyone else.. Ulf has a signature sound and a very interesting, creative vocabulary that’s a pleasure to listen to.
i was waiting for this!!! So cool!! Wish i can play like him
wish I can play like WES and not like him .!!!!
Great guitarist. 🤐
Ulf makes the same pouting face as Jimmy Page when playing. :) Wonderful playing, as usual from this guy. Maybe I should try this pouting thing.
Legend!❤️
You guys that are trying to give Ulf advice realize the guy is a world class player and you are not or we would recognize your names, right? Ulf ‘has soul’ and knows how to ‘use space’. On this take of Road Song, maybe he played more notes than Wes but that’s fine. On a different day, maybe he’d feel like taking a more laid back approach. He’s capable of both. Like I said, the guy is word class.
I hear more BENSON's tricks than WES incomparable construction , with touch , tone , timing, to create fantastic MELODY . Ulf is good but he is not a genius ....as were Django , Christian , Montgomery and is George Benson .
Oh Damn. He had to do it to em
Le thème ne semble pas très synchro et très en place avec la séquence, ça manque de groove sinon les chorus sont monstrueux pas de soucis respect...
A very fine skilled player. However, it is not necessary to play that fast all of the time. Go back and listen to Wes Montgomery. He "articulated" his solos and made excellent use of space. It's the quiet between the notes that makes the music.
Shred a little more if you like lol
Kid of ruined Road Song for me. All those picked notes, no slurs - no soul
Ulf, you play well but, you need to relax. Too mechanical. Get some soul in your playing. The great GEORGE BENSON advised me listen to Wes and GRANT GREEN to achieve this...
You must have higher musical standards than Oscar Peterson, then.
