This is just part one of a special crossover event with Diamanda Hagan! Over on her channel, you can see the other half of this crossover, a review of the 80s musical Voyage of Rock Aliens - it's out of this world! You can see that here: ruclips.net/video/qppXOiZQi8Y/видео.html In addition, you can see the bloopers from this crossover here: ruclips.net/video/YyRLHgfzdhc/видео.html This is actually our fourth and fifth crossover together, and you can see our previous crossovers here: - Merlin The Return: ruclips.net/video/Uge84lfbsRw/видео.html - Beserker Hell's Warrior: ruclips.net/video/lmuiHUrvMgU/видео.html - Breeders (1997): ruclips.net/video/Lp3RbEkXd7Y/видео.html
"SYMBOLISM1!!!11" and he's back in full force. well done, i laughed out loud several times during this review. the shot of that recycle bin folder omg.
I know what you mean. For some time I was irritated by Film Brain. But he regained my liking him. Partially by doing so many co-ops with the Mistress. But yeah he is great.
Also Sniper Special ops is terrible I was swindled by the 5 dollar bin at Walmart.... since it also said "Vandam" it was only later on I realized "Rob Van Dam" is an actor as well.
Watching Seagal try to do his old martial arts moves these days is like watching a schoolyard fight between a third grader and a high school sports star... the other guy is more or less just having to humor him as he uselessly flails the air trying to look convincingly threatening. Seriously, you could walk away from him and he'd exhaust himself trying to keep up for half a block.
Bad Movie Beatdown is your greatest show it mixes your observational skills and comedy perfectly. It was disappointing when you dropped it. So I'm really glad it's back!
Always nice to see you and Diamanda work together. Really digging the new theme! Skitch doesn't disappoint. Also looks like we got some touch ups to the show format.
After I watched this, I started getting a lot of martial arts videos about how, despite Akido being a real martial art, an Segal being a black belt in it, he always chose to portray a form that would have gotten him killed in seconds, and that people who took the art and tried to apply it the way he does in his movies have actually been seriously injured, in some cases by opponents who's fighting style was just lobbing self-taught haymakers, and dropping their weight if the other guy tried to throw or tackle them. If you get back to Segal again, analyzing that might make for a good angle on the fight scenes.
The whole "Sykes is really Porter" red herring would have been more effective if we hadn't seen Sykes kill the reporter and his cameraman. Since the reporter knows what Porter looks like, he surely would have recognized him.
who has a pay phone in 2016? Winnik said of Seagal, "he’s definitely the real deal... he really knows his guns, his Aikido, his martial arts, his fighting skills. You know, he’s teaching you weapons, he’s teaching you moves. He’s been around a long time, but his arms, his hands, they’re still lightning fast...if near a bucket of KFC."
That Slavery line really pissed me off. "If it wasn't for men like us, it would still be there" So american soldiers/vigilantes are the ones who deserve credit for either abolishing slavery or keeping it abolished? The credit for those two feats go to Abraham Lincoln and the American Government.
Wow, what a mess of a movie - the laziness on display is stunning. So glad we have you (and lovely friends like Diamanda) to navigate the absurdity for us!!
Scotty Lewis do you mean like, a break from acting or a lucky break? Because One Tree Hill was good but also kind of a pop culture phenomenon so that was pretty cool.
ROFL! XD Oh my god, I had to rewatch that opening movie scene. Great comic timing! Hagan: We open in the best city we've ever seen. Wherever it is. FB: Salt Lake City, apparently. Hagan: They don't deserve these sick riffs! *scratch-stop record*
Tbh, I have never been a fan of Seagal at all, even before I knew about his ego. There was just something about him, maybe his smugness, that makes me not particularly like him, and it's gotten worse by the fact that he will not show himself being injured or wounded even once in his own action films. The only *_good_* movie I consider he was in was _Under Siege,_ and that is mainly because of its more memorable villains played by Tommy Lee Jones and Gary Busey, I had actually *_wanted_* them to win.
That's a problem with a lot of action heroes, they are so focused at making the hero seem cool and badass it just backfires and the hero turns into an empty shell of generic wish fulfillment instead. And villains you can cut through like wet cardboard aren't exactly memorable or entertaining either.
"He's never going to sleep with you" ...if you've ever heard the Margaret Cho monologue "Casting Couch" and heard her go "Ewww!" then you'll know what I mean when I say *EWWW!!*
Large frame man dressed in black.... That made me realize Steven Seagal is like AronRa without the charisma. Or sense. 24:17 Yeah I think I figured it too. 25:55 Yep.
Because Seagal is a Putin fan, and he rambles about preventing crime in this movie, I think it is worth pointing out that apparently crime has went up in Russia since the invasion. The police is too busy arresting dissidents, and criminals returning from the front often act very badly.
Whether for fun or a fan of the Seagal films overall , I notice in alot of say recentish ten movies or so of Seagal's , He tends to be seated quite often during alot of scenes? Plus a few previously at times seem to have real bad ADR at times too , among other odd things. This movie i felt was okish compared to the last ten or so i have seen of his , the big twist by the end of it i find part brilliant but also part Huh? and Wtf? too. I couldn't stand the CGI blood and CGI gun muzzle fire etc too , ugh. A 5.5 out of a Booshty ten , Sheffer was great fun in this he always plays a great corrupt type cop if the movie world lets him. Hellraiser inferno i found silly and very bland boring too , but at least he was great fun in that too , oh and the Wire twins , as briefly they were in that one , also too , of course.
Another thing seagal is insane where as the punisher is sane also the punisher prefers zero casualtys where as this film in reality there are a shit ton of innocents dead
I wonder if Seagal resents the Olympus Has Fallen series for intruding into the little niche he's carved out for himself. Only with a budget and a lead that can actually climb off his ass for an action scene.
I love how Tyson knocks out segal and China salesman. Seagal never allows himself to be beaten on screen but they use his body double to show Tyson besting him. You just know the producer and/or director threw that scene in after Steven left just to stick it to him. He's so beloved in the industry that everyone wanted Michael Jai White to seriously damage him on the last day of shooting Exit Wounds
"If it wasn't for men like us, slavery might still be _mumble-mumble_ ..." Says the guy who has his own dedicated rape mansion in Louisiana and put up fake job offers for "personal assistants" to lure women in and make them his sex slaves there. Go to hell, Seagal! Judo Gene should have kept that hold on for two minutes instead of a few seconds... Diamanda is lucky that "take a shot" rule applies to rapes in movies, not to every time a real-life rapist appears on screen in a movie.

Film Brain I love y’all’s crossovers
Brian Film... I like that. Thank you Diamanda.
It's weird seeing Keith scott doing police work
A gunfight where the main gunman remains seated sounds perfect for Seagal, since he's too lazy to do actual stuntwork.
@Dawson Joyce That would be downright silly even for him!
Or stand
"SYMBOLISM1!!!11" and he's back in full force. well done, i laughed out loud several times during this review. the shot of that recycle bin folder omg.

Or because he’s a dangerous man
@@tgiacin435 Eh, pretty sure any somewhat healthy man can outrun him.
@@wjzav1971 I mean have you seen how lazy he was in this film lol
Good thing to know that Seagal can keep his end up.
It was a real treat getting a Seagal BMB in 2018!!! I loved those from years ago! And It's great seeing Diamanda again! You two do a great team!
Diamanda Hagan is such a good foil for Film Brain.
Steven Seagal movies are like Tic Tacs; they're everywhere yet they're easy to forget.
Veronica Silk after 2001 I could definitely agree
C’mon, don’t insult Tic Tacs like that!
11:45-11:51 - THANK YOU!!! Also, Dolph Lundgren>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Seagal.
15:00 - That's Robocop! Damn it, Seagal, stop ripping off emotionless robot characters who, bizarrely, have more humanity than your so-called "heroes"!
At least Lundgren has a few decent DTV films here and there.
But who is best Punisher: Lundgren, Jane, Stevenson or Berenthel?
@@dvader518 ....Fuck me thats kinda hard.
@@dvader518 Berenthal. His Punisher suffers from actual PTSD. He's not a stoic badass; he's clearly off his rocker.
I never knew before that what my life really needed was Hagan and Film Brain reviewing a Seagal movie. Nirvana achieved!
Diamanda and Matthew are the best duo!
Wow, Seagal really inflates his ego with this movie, but then again it's par for the course for his filmography.
If only his ego was the only part of him that inflated.
Oh, is this the reason why you uploaded your old Steven Seagal reviews? Because it's was a good thing.
SoulEaterSaku90 yeah that’s probably why cause this review is pretty good
This is so much fun! Your banter and the interactions are great, you work so well together!
The real Steven Seagal was the friends we made along the way.
Hell yeah a new BMB!! Been looking to this for a long, long time
I know what you mean. For some time I was irritated by Film Brain. But he regained my liking him. Partially by doing so many co-ops with the Mistress. But yeah he is great.

New Film Brian Crossover with Diamanda Hagan.
WONDERFUL start to November.
Also Sniper Special ops is terrible I was swindled by the 5 dollar bin at Walmart.... since it also said "Vandam" it was only later on I realized "Rob Van Dam" is an actor as well.
Oh that film was awful. Seagal just sits around doing nothing and mumbling-although that's nothing new...
11:14 Yeah, right...
11:50 Honestly, I'd rather watch The Punisher instead. Whether it be any of the movies or the Netflix series.
"Kill Count" videos of Seagal movies are more interesting than the movies themselves, case in point; This movie in particular...
That pic is hot. And I like violence too.
You're a metal head too?
Pretty much.

Craig Sheffer? That's a name I haven't heard in a while, I think I've seen him in an episode of Fastlane once.
Derek Onodera yeah! He was in the first episode of Fastlane. He hasn’t done much in the last few years but he’s gonna be in two things next year.
