Thank you for this very insightful video. I don’t have any Hermes and probably won’t have any. But I love listening to the history and all the artisans knowledge 🥰
My husband just bought me 2 shiny croc wallets in France and I am so glad I watched this! I’m gonna be so scared to use them now lol great video! She’s so knowledgeable and sweet 💗
Most of the Birkins and Kellys have chevre inside.... I have some SLGS in Chevre also... I almost made a SO in Chevre, but I opted for Epsom instead :)
The thing that happened to the shiny crocs when it’s exposed to water is called blisters! (It does looks like one, have to learned it the hard way). I am a collector myself and has been on the hunt for smooth barenia, wondering whether Marie has experience in repairing the leather? I know vintage boxes are still around and lasts for a lifetime, but I barely see any smooth barenia in vintage..
Love the interview, unfortunately could not get chance to talk to a craftsman in Paris, but Marie explained a lot about the process and details of hermes craftsmanship and atelier. Hope could visit Pantin in one day, lol
Really enjoying and thanks for such a wonderful series! I’ve actually seen photos of box leather bags with really bad blistering from raindrops. They say those deep blisters from rain on box cannot repaired. Would it be possible to ask if it’s true ? I actually have a k25 sellier in Chevre leather and seems it’s available via Special Orders in various sizes so i’m confused as to if the larger pieces of Chevre are really that rare or maybe I’ve misunderstood something. Many thanks for all the great Q and A !!
Great video! For chevre mysore, Other than the rare bag or miniK & miniC recently, it is only available for a la carte order (HSS) up to size K28 or B30. Recently we have seen SLG in Chamkila Chevre. Not sure if that is the same goat skin on the inside of exotics that she mentioned. So facsinating!
The sheets are too white it throws your exposure. Coz your face and your guests faces should always be seen! Maybe sheets that are more consistent with the country or at least darker than your clothes.
Thank you very much for this video 🙂 The view is lovely and it was very informative like your previous ones. However, please please tone down the ambient sound (airplanes, birds, cars..), it makes the video quite unpleasant to watch, especially such a long one...
Natural Barenia is my favorite, easy to clean with a wet cloth. All scratches disappear
Marie is such a wealth of knowledge! I love this series so much and can’t wait for the next one! Great job Juliet! ♥️♥️♥️
Thank you! So happy you enjoyed 🧡
