    Conroy is doing an amazing job with this team, Bringing in young draft picks and giving short term deals is the recipe for success with this team 🔥

      They sure needed a different approach from old long contract big pay treliving. When you have no cap space you have no options. Look at the leafs.

      If any of these draft picks work out, they will leave at the first chance they get.

    Conny is doing a great job . He's making smart decisions and not handing out huge long term contracts without any assurance it will work . He knows this team may not be the contender right off the bat that everyone hopes for but he has done a lot of planning towards the future . After the last couple of GMs that would try to make big blockbuster deals , it's nice to see this one realizing he doesn't need to .

    GREAT JOB CRAIG!!!!!! Haven't been this excited for a Flames team since back to 2004 but better the 80s. I love your plan for the growth of your team. Great to resign Lomberg, he'll be great for Martin Pospisil. Save the cap space so as time goes by we can resign all this new and young talent to extensions. Only way to grow the team to get better and be contenders as time goes bye. I think that's the way the NHL is these days. Get them young and keep them around.

      I can't say 2004 since I was only 4, but for my time as a Flames fan, i haven't been this excited since we beat Vancouver in the 1st round in 2014-15 back with Rookie Gaudreau and sophomore Monahan.

    Tough call on Kylington. Like the idea of flexibility though and not locking in for 8 year term.

    • @tylerarnfinson5774
      @tylerarnfinson5774 13 дней назад

      I think the $$$ was agreed to? From the Rumors I heard, it was term.
      Calgary originally wanted a 2-3 year deal Max. I think he was looking for 4-5 years.

    • @Thepoweoftheriffcompelsme
      @Thepoweoftheriffcompelsme 13 дней назад +6

      Personally I think Kylington should consider being a little flexible considering how supportive the flames organisation was to him over the last few years. If he turns down a deal over a year or two difference in term it feels like a slap in the face.
      Oh well, it’s his career he can do what he likes.

    Great job this week Craig!! You the scouting staff, all involved excellent job... The only move I dislike is Mantha but it's one year so atleast you didn't pull a James Neal or Troy Brouwer contract.. I love the Sharangovich deal whatta diamond he is and I'm happy to have him through the rebuild.. Popisil at center would be Amazing!! I hope Poirier and Klapka can make the move up at some point and Honzek bounces back from his injuries.. Keep up the great work and we can keep building towards 2025 and 2026 drafts build the monster!! Bring the cup back home !! Connie and Iggy get there redemption!! Let's go !!

    Best GM. Very open and good communication. He even said... it does not make sense giving a player a long term signing, if he is not a good fit. (Treliving was horrible at this). He also said that it does not make sense to let players walk fir nothing. (Again Treliving was horrible fir this).
    Conroy is best GM. Be patient Calgary we are ReBui....I mean ReTooling 😊

      I understand your concerns, but the odds are higher a plan of keeping guys like Markstrom, Mangiapane, Tanev, Hanifin, and Lindholm would backfire with much more severity. This is the way to go 👍

    • @matts1851
      @matts1851 13 дней назад

      Trying to maintain a competitive roster from year to year led to years of middling mediocrity and horrid contracts. A rebuild cant really backfire any worse than what has been happening for the past decade with this team.
