- I played this on nightmare and thought it was gonna be way tougher. In the end, I only used 4 Skylanders, Spitfire, Dark Spitfire, Double Dare Trigger Happy, and Bone Bash Roller Brawl.

It’s about going FAST and SUPERCHARGED. And that’s what taking on THE DARKNESS feel like.
Also I did played Gas Gas Gas while fighting The Darkness, and it was amazing.

I remember being angry about how easy this boss was. My thoughts were "that's it?" I now realize that I was probably playing on easy mode...

I beat the entire game on normal with a magna charge and 1 of each vehicle type. the only level that almost got me was the train one, the vehicle's shields are way too strong .
Nightmare is a lot harder. More things to dodge, and the shadow bots are really annoying.

I was drinking some water when this part happened an I almost choked
Damn... this reminds me of my first ever superchargers playthrough.... I played on nightmare mode and when the darkness had only like 8% of his hp left, the game glitched. I could drive to the end of this portal, tunnel or whatever this is. The darkness diasppeared. I fell off the edge. It was not fun.
Do you mean hard? Now if I’m wrong about superchargers correct me, but for the rest of the games, you have to beat the main game to unlock

Nightmare is unlocked from the start iirc. At least for Superchargers.

Skylanders is the only series that can make characters named "Kaos" and "The Darkness" entertaining.
I was just shocked when the E3 Hot Streak was in the vid, that might be rarer than Ro-Bow

During my first playthrough, I thought that he looked kinda cool. Then I realized he had a mustache like Ron Swanson. I couldn't take him seriously after that. Even during that final battle all I could see was the Ron Swanson mustache.
God damn it now I see it too THANKS DICK!
This was probably one of my favorite boss fights in the series. Definitely a step up from Kaos going from finally making a truly great boss fight in the last game to being mediocre again.

This is why I like to consider imaginators and spin off. First you have the credits roll then it turns into a plot twist and introduces the true final boss. Then Eon gives his big long speech to the Portal Master. Then you finish the battle and Kaos joins your side. Then in imaginators he’s evil again? Not to mention the Doom Raiders and other trap bosses are playable good guys. This is truly the finale of this legendary game series

I always thought the darkness was spitfires father becuase there both energy type monsters with engine parts on them
The engine parts weren’t originally on The Darkness. He just used the remains of the Sky Eater to try and strengthen himself.
Funny you should mention that because there was originally a piece of dialogue that was discontinued for the actual game, but it referred to Spitfire directly by the Darkness as “son.” I would have loved that head canon to be real!!

As someone who hated that most bosses were vehicle segments in Superchargers, I loved this boss fight. It was so awesome

That halo music goes PERFECTLY with that fight. If Master Chief got into Superchargers as an xbox exclusive I would have gotten the xbox version instead of the wii u version
And his vehicle would be the Warthog. That would be so cool
the darkness decided to use the gnasty gnorc tactic and run away from the hero
Unfortunately I was stuck with the very poorly made Wii version but if a game warrants this degree of masterful humour I need to get some sort of console I can play this on. This is fantastic

Possibly my favorite skylanders game and boss, from the music to the way I imagined myself in the seat of my power blue gold rusher, this battle was made way too hype by my imagination lol

As someone who recently played through the whole game on nightmare mode, I can confirm.
you can cheat through the whole boss using shark tank, with his special ability he is unstoppable
I remember being terrified of this cutscene because of the way he enters, i genuinley thought there was something wrong with my game

I hate this boss battle mainly because I get really easily carsick and somehow this made me carsick and I play this game on consuls
1:05 - 2:44 idk if it was intentional, but seeing Spit Fire & Hotstreak battle the Darkness while gas gas gas is playing, is so bad ass
Man, I still remember a few years ago when me and my little brother played though this boss on the Nightmare Difficulty, he took out ALL of our Skylanders and we lost, but after our second playthrough, we manage to beat the Darkness after losing around half of our Skylanders, and it was gratifying.
So overall, while not the best final boss in Skylanders (I think Skylanders Giants' final boss is incredible), I can safely say that this is a HUGE step up from Skylanders Trap Team.

I had the crypt crusher doing this, so my dudes were boogieing while absolutely stepping on the gas. That was technically my fight with the darkness.
This was pretty much what me and my brother went through, except with High Volt and Dark Super Shot Stealth Elf
