Learn how to develop key inner strengths - like grit, gratitude, and compassion - to stay calm, confident, and happy no matter what life throws at you. With his trademark blend of neuroscience, mindfulness, and practical psychology, Dr. Hanson shows how to deal with stress and pursue your dreams with a deep sense of capability and contentment. His step-by-step approach is grounded in the science of positive neuroplasticity. He shows how to overcome the brain’s negativity bias, release painful thoughts and feelings, and replace them with self-compassion, hope, and inner peace. When I pay to much attention to the news, or the past it makes me focus on the negative and I'm in a reactive state.
I need self directed brain change to unshakable core of peace, contentment and love, is a high and noble purpose.
This will help me heal the reside of the past and move forward with a happy life focus not on survival threats but to enjoy life.
I need to savor good experience instead of the daily dose of frustration and helplessness of what going on in the world.
Have to start to dream big dreams and enjoy life's pleasures with an unshakable core of well being.
Its kind of far from where Ive been but I think I can get there.

    Thankyou Dr Rick Hanson =)
THIS is an incredibly rich and informative talk.
I particularly liked the teaching that we can enrich and cherish good experiences and even link them to the less good experiences, absorb and dethorn the pain attatched to them by letting the good be greater =)
A great life lesson. I feel a little better equiped now and even more resiliant already! Thankyou =)

He speaks a lot, but he says so little that after filtering his speech for new and useful tactics, nothing is left.
