I always liked Austin Tindle as Kaneki. Mostly, I think his work in Seasons 1 and 2 of the main Tokyo Ghoul anime are the best. Lindsay was also great as Eto (multiple voices and all). All the actors are excellent, but Tokyo Ghoul re was just poorly done on the production side. They shouldn't have tried to adapt the entire rest of the series like that. Too much ground to cover. But man, seeing the cast is so awesome. It's not they're fault and they did their best. I hope for a remake of Tokyo Ghoul one day in the same vein as FMA Brotherhood.
    Thanks for posting!

Fire Force is what introduced me to Aaron Roberts! His performance as Benimaru is one of the best I've heard in anime dubbing! Truly phenomenal acting!

Literally 3 years later and I still have yet to finish watching Tokyo Ghoul: re dubbed. Because I was under the impression that Adult Swim's Toonami block was going to acquire the rights to the 3rd season, I only watched the first 5 episodes dubbed. When I originally watched Tokyo Ghoul's first 2 seasons, I was a little confused.
After reading summaries about the franchise and watching the OVA's Tokyo Ghoul: JACK and Tokyo Ghoul: PINTO, everything started to make a lot more sense. Also, some of the characters in both OVA's soon appear in Tokyo Ghoul: re.
The Tokyo Ghoul franchise is very political and it seems like it is a major reflection of today's current events in America such as police brutality, immigration, human trafficking, terrorism, etc. Without a doubt, Aogiri Tree is Antifa but no one will dare say it. LOL! Once I have more time, I will re-watch the first 5 episodes of Tokyo Ghoul: re and finish the rest of the series.
Even though Toonami has spent the last 8 years subtly pushing their political agendas until last weekend and earlier this summer, I suspect that they're purposely blacklisting Tokyo Ghoul: re for other shows and to always pander to certain fandoms.

YES! Thank god, that show made 0 sense! I'd rather they bring back One Piece than Tokyo Ghoul; I'm just here for the voice actors.

@@derekbates4316 I was actually glad when One Piece was replaced with Tokyo Ghoul. However, Toonami COULD'VE kept One Piece on for the fans and still aired Tokyo Ghoul. The Toonami Team is simply illogical and divisive in their thinking.

@@annah.1569 Illogical? Tokyo Ghoul is a show about monsters that we're supposed to feel for? Even though they eat ppl. And have enough power to take out a platoon; basically, Attack on Titan from the titan's point of view.
Toonami may have it's problems, but catching that show's bullshit and cutting it was one of their more lucid moments.

@@derekbates4316 Tokyo Ghoul is a Political Anime and Toonami have made it a point more than anything this year to be political. If you read the Tokyo Ghoul summaries, you should be able to understand that the franchise mirrors a lot today's current events like immigration, human trafficking, police brutality, terrorist organizations like Antifa for example, etc. There's more to Tokyo Ghoul than it being about monsters.
