Love the vids and lessons. I just followed you yesterday. I’m a 35 year learner of the bass. Never stop learning, which is why I’m here! One small thing I’m noticing you do is “pronounce” certain notes in your progressions….making them stand out a bit more than the others. A good drummer and guitarist will follow you on that…just another layer of flavor in what your teaching. Good stuff you’re doing!!

This is exactly what I am looking for. I understand my scales but understanding the creative pathway from one position to the next is what I am trying to learn. Perfect. Appreciate you taking the time.

The fender jazz in this video seem to be winning. Lots of playtime. It always just comes back down to the jazz 🙂

Love it my friend. I personaly love that you use numbers. Had to learn that quick out of the gate to be able to keep up with key changes. No more transcribing notes on my sheet music while everyone else is half way through the song! Thanks!

Thank you Bro. Jermaine for this detailed break down of this well known hymn that I play on a regular basis. I'm certain this will help me free up my confidence in including thes expressions in my playing.

I have a fender am std 2008 5 string jazz bass i dont really have very low action i have like medium low. But the gospel band i play in doesnt play music that need slap. And they mostly play relaxed and slow ones. But i have several basses so i practice my fretting hand with higher action on other basses so it doesnt get hard anymore.
