I couldn't resist a visit to Ulysse Nardin to check out the updated Freak X. Although it shares similarities with the previous version, it's now housed in a sleeker 43mm case, measuring just 13.8mm in height. The lightweight Carbonium case keeps it comfortable on the wrist, weighing only about 81 grams. And of course, it retains the iconic flying carousel we all love.

I own a blue Polaris Chrono and was hoping this new Polaris had the same dial as the green Polaris date.
The white is really cool but I think had they done the chrono in green I would update my own Polaris.
I see they did update the blue to like the Polaris date, just wish they did the green as well…. Probably next year.
Then new Polaris Chronograph is fire! JLC coming out hot with the chronograph complications with this years novelties.

I have tried the Red Bull Chronograph and the new Silver and blue Polaris.
I liked all 3. The only thing I didn’t like about the Red Bull Chronograph was the cheap feeling Velcro strap.
I thought I would like the silver dial Polaris more than the blue dial but I actually preferred the blue dial in the metal. Both are very nice though. The lack of date is a deal breaker and I would rather have an Amvox 2 or 7 for the innovative chronograph.

FXD chrono is very much like how they did dive watch chronos back in the day-this is very genuine and very authentic.
As for JLC and the new chrono polaris; thumbs down. The reason I am giving it a thumbs down, they do not want to upgrade their chronograph calibre that gives sub-dials a squinted look. The calibre was designed for smaller diameter watches, it is painfully obvious and they keep on using it, this is where the swiss are problematic, they are too conservative and are too slow to even make upgrades.

Carbon is a material also used on everything from aircraft, artificial limbs to high performance cars.
