Where is this reputation that Nintendo doesn’t do backwards compatibility come from? Every console they e released for two decades+ has been backwards compatible with its predecessor, the only exception being the switch to the Wii U, and I think it’s clear that there just wasn’t much incentive for nintendo to provide back compat there. Generally, they’ve been no different from any other console manufacturer when it comes to their history with backwards compatibility.
I agree. Also the idea that they will re-release breath of the wild and stuff on this one doesn't make much sense either. Every single re-release had been a "deluxe" version of the games back on wii u and to most people, those are brand new games. The only exception I can think of is Skyward sword but I know a lot of people didn't choose to buy that.

People are downplaying the competition for a new Switch device. I think the next system will be successful, but I don't think it will take off like the OG Switch did. It will inevitably be underpowered and 3rd party games will be dependent on ports whereas many games just work on the handheld PC options. I also don't believe the 4K docked rumor either. The PS5 and Series X don't hit 4k in many games and recent competitors like the Steam Deck and ROG Ally hover somewhere between 720-1080p at low to medium settings. I don't see Nintendo releasing a +$600 machine and shooting for 1080-2160p based on the way they operate.
its not native 4k not even xbox or sony have that. its 4k through upscaling and such its 100% possible. you just have a concept of 4k thats a bit wrong

Its going to be a minor hardware update with the main feature being DLSS, with the gaming community going retro, they only need to be "good enough" tbh, the original switch was just too weak. Nintendo has been showing the industry that pushing for the bleeding edge was a mistake for years.

It's marketing was a failure on many levels.
@@syvvik814 you’re so right, anybody saying they’re gonna sell us botw and totk and odyssey all over again clearly have no idea how Nintendo has historically worked
The Wii U didn't fail because people didn't realize it was a different console. It failed because it had no games.
No one was confused when the PS2 came out. Why would they be confused why a Switch 2?
nvidia chip?? they make cpus now? 🤔
They used too and they still do but not like x86 CPUs they do ASIC's but for expansion cards but I have to check.
@@Sahilgotlost man wouldve been cool of we had tech cimpanies competing for cpus and gpus
Unless Switch 2 has a HUGE performance improvement, I’m good with my OLED.
It just needs to be anywhere as powerful from a PS4- Series S and that’s it.
"I like suction too"- Luke
"Half an inch can go a long way" - Luke
They should definitely not name it NEW SWITCH. Or SWITCH U. Just avoid any name that casual players would not know it’s a complete different console.
You know I just want to play Nintendo 3ds games without having to buy a switch and a 3ds
Why are we acting as if Nintendo don’t do backwards compatibility more often than not? GC was disc so couldn’t buy Wii played them, Wii U played Wii, gba played gb. It’s assumed that they will because they normally do
Are you my great grandpa?
If they fxck this up and call it the "new Nintendo switch" i might die of stupidity 😂
If the thing doesn't perform better than honestly why even make a 2 or upgrade from say an oled what's the need for it if not to get you out of another 3-400 dollars?
battery life isn't enough fyi
i mena it will preform better. signifagently better
What are you talking about? No one said it wouldn't preform better. They said it isn't going to be as powerful as a PS5 /Series X.
Switch-U
10:02 That's what my GF told me.
Some koala face again mentioned teraflops bro...
everyone is watching to see what will happen with pokemon because if Nintendo and game freak keep cutting corners on it then its time to move on
If it's as powerful and slightly better than the Rog Ally this thing will do numbers having a Nvaida chip so devs can add DLSS 3.0 would be great Nintendo games.
So it’s not more powerful???😭😭
No one said that
I love being a Nintendo hater
Why purchase Nintendo games when you can just pirate them?
Steam deck all the way
Nintendo will probably make it not backwards compatible and drip feed the old games on their garbage online service. So glad I switched to steamdeck that plays everything, including Nintendo games better than Nintendo hardware.
u buy nintendo because u have a pc and u just want to be more nostalgic in a way as Nintendo has this feeling that no other console have. But it need more power to be less restrictive for the devs. Hoping for at least 16GB of ram because it is so cheap, but Nintendo is known for being very stingy as they count every dime so I guess we will get 8GB.
lets gooo
They shouldn’t even call it the switch. Name it something completely different so there’s no confusion that it’s a new console
Its going to be a minor hardware update with the main feature being DLSS, with the gaming community going retro, they only need to be "good enough" tbh, the original switch was just too weak.
Nintendo has been showing the industry that pushing for the bleeding edge was a mistake for years.
?????? bro your actually delusional. its gonna be way more powefull than the switch jsut watch moors law is dead's channel adn look for him tlak abotu switch 2
If I get 10 likes I will come out the closet 🏳️🌈
