Always loved the GB series. I have the GB-74JJ myself and this intrigued me. I preferred maple necks though. But seriously considering this or the GB Modern for my next Cort bass.

I have a Cort Action PJ…great little bass. I’d buy other Corts in a heartbeat.

Good to see Cort going on with their jazz bass shaped GB line. I am using a Cort GB94 which I bought second hand. Hardware is incredible but sadly mine is Indonesian instead of Korean where I have couple issues with the construction quality and the neck is oddly soft and sensetive to rod adjustments and different tunings. I have taken care of some of the problems and also modded the bass on top of that. It comes with Seymour Duncan single coil and humbucker which I modded the humbucker for north/parallel/south poles. Whenever I feel like modding it I can't find much lacking about it.
With this one looks like they upped their construction game with 5 bolt neck, string through body. Looks like they are running a new bridge design as well. Looks great as well. Mine is also about 4.1 kg but the balancing proves to be more important than the weight.

For a bit less money, prefer the sound and versatility of my Sire M5

In 2024 this should have a truss rod adjustment wheel. I hate the exposed hole. Other than that, I love it. Matching headstocks in modern day is a big deal to me. Obviously stainless frets and roasted neck would be much preferred. This is a 700$ instrument, we should have something better than a PPL plastic nut. I would pay another 100$ for the extra spec. But it is still a better deal than a Fender Player 2.

I like it. Do you have any insights in the general availability? Thomann lists them as "available in several months"

Thanks for a great review. Quick question, do you experience any humming or buzzing when either of the pickups are soloed individually? Curious, given that they are single coil.
    Cheers!

Good bass but the push pull active is a incovenient. a switch is way better.

In a sea of j basses at that price range this is pretty meh. Nice finishes though.

Great review. Terrible bass. I’d rather just get a squier classic vibe
