@ Kristian, thank you very much for the praise! Yes, the Scandinavian North is really something special. Unfortunately I don't understand Finnish, but the comments during the tour are one of the highlights in your video. For a Central European, the ice bath in the lake and the thickness of the ice were also very impressive. And of course the tent sauna at the end! Greetings Udo

I thought I'd have a look at some of your other vids and found this treasure, so good to watch. We noticed your snow wall to protect the tents caused them to get burried but that's the trade off. Managing condensation and damp is always hard. Much we can relate to here in and very entertaining to watch. Don't underestimate the quality of your content, it's not measured by views, just look how much traffic a person can get unboxing toys!

Hahhah :D Thats so true about the quality measured by the views :D Thank you so much for the nice comment! Glad to hear you liked the video! And sure it was a trade off to build the wall but in that wind we made a decission that its better to build the wall.

Crazy how much drifting snow around the tent.. Too bad about the hole in the tent cloth, but Helsport is very service oriented. I'm guessing they fix the tent for free. I suffered a little with you when you had to dig out the tents after the storm. It can be really hard. Very beautiful footage around 30 minutes into the film. Lucky you found the drone after it crashed. Eight days to finally see the mountains. Really recognize the feeling that all the hard work is worth it😍 Do you recommend the summit tour Ruohtestjåhkå? I say hello back to my newfound friends 39:40. And I really agree every time that the cold is easier to deal with than the wind. I actually went looking for you when he said in the kiosk that you were going to winter swim, but I found you too late😅 Has to be the best way to end a tour. Say hello to the others that it was a lot of fun meeting you out there in the wilderness.

Thank you so much Anders for your kind comment! Really appreciate 🙏 Ruohtestjåhkå was nice and I would recomend it if the snow is not stable and you like to avoid too steep terrains. Very nice scenery from the top! Nice and easy mountain to climb! Too bad you were bit late from our sauna and ice swimming session! Next time you need to come and test our sauna tent with us! Greetings from all of us!

Wow i find it crazy you were sleeping only in a minus 9 sleeping bag in those temps. Gresr adventure though. Anders will be proud 🤣. How did you get on with the exped dura down mattress? Feel any cold from the ground? I know with those air mats you need to spread the down out every night by shaking it. Lookijg forward to your next trip!

Thank you! We were so happy to meet the legendary Anders there! :) Indeed warmer sleeping bags would have been very nice to have in those colder nights 🤣 The Exped mattresses are the only ones I have experience but at least I like them! At least for me it feels that not much cold cold comes from the ground and it insulates pretty well.

  • @jonam9643

really inspiring and well filmed documentary! I was wondering if you were using vapor barrier liners (vbl´s) in your sleeping bag or if the degradation from moisture was acceptable. Few weeks ago i was hinking through the swedish winter and just a few nights in -15°C condition was enough to get my sleeping bag so clammy that i switched to my backup system.

Thank you! Happy to hear! Yes we used vbl's on top of our sleeping bags but still moisture was bit of a problem. We needed to use boiling hot water botles to dry our sleeping bags almost every day.

  • @martindohnal55

That was tough adventure. What camera did you use for filming? And where did you keep all the batteries and powerbanks, in the pockets of the jacket or just in the sled? Thanks, keep it up!

Thank you! We used Canon EOS M6 mark II as a main camera with 3 batteries, 1 in the camera and 2 in the warm pocket. As a secondary camera we used gopro 8 and mobile phones. We sure had problems with cold and thats why we could not capture everything we would have wanted to show.

Itse aina tykännyt ottaa pussin jossa reilusti pelivaraa.

Thank you so much! As you saw in the video we sure had some problems with the sled, but we were still quite happy with the rope pulling system. But keep in mind we have never tried shaft system in the sled so we have no reference if its better :D On next trip we will go with rope again but maybe take 3 sleds so we can pack them lower.

@ Ah, I see, it's only Kimmo who is using a shaft system. I mounted a diy one on my Paris and it kicked me out in a descent. Broke my shoulder. Hieno video ja hurjia kelejä! Pidittekö teltat rullalla ahkiossa, entä kaaret ? Miten tossa kelissä suunnistus tapahtuu. Tarkistelitteko sijaintia mistään digilaitteesta vai onko se tuolla edes mahdollista?
    Kiitos videosta!

Kiitos!

Varmasti mahtava reissu! Tekninen kysymys, kuinka paljon poltto-ainetta kului reissun aikana?

Kiitos kovasti!

Good on you a great trip. You need to get used to bringing far, far less equipment, use lightweight drybags instead of plastic boxes and pack the pulk with less and lower to stop it from flipping. Bring ear plugs and practice meditation, build your snow walls closer to the tent, and carry a waist pack instead of a rucksack, this is too tiring.
