After seeing these instances and several other videos, I believe the Pteranodon, while individually inferior, is simply the better aerial fighter in a proportion of minimum 2:1. Aside from the fact that Ptera is faster and has better success rate in landing their attack, it's the difference of their attack method that ultimately undermines the Wyvern. Ptera "latches" on to the target and pecks them, the Wyvern snatches their target and if they're light enough, lifts them to the air and bites them; letting gravity finish the job if they can't make the kill. When both clashes, a wyvern can only concentrate attack for a single Ptera while the other Pteras consistently drains the Wyvern off their health; the downfall of the Wyvern here is the fact that unlike land units, Ptera can actually swarm onto a wyvern when it's doing its aerial torture, depriving them from their usual aerial safety. That's why in most instances you'd see bodies of Ptera dropping early on but it often ends with a few dying Wyverns and several fit Pteras that can easily finish them off. Ptera might be a worse choice for fighting most land units due to their attack habit that makes them easy target, but it's a different story when it comes to a dogfight.
But if the ptera was fly away from the wyvern the ptera would be faster if diving but it won't dive if only to fight something so if we're doing so it would be succes
