There is a door down to the basement which runs the length of the property and as well as the services, has a laundry room, a cave, and a small 1 bedroomed apartment at one end with doors out to a courtyard. The fourth door off the hallway leads to an inner vestibule with the oak spiral staircase with ornate metal balustrade to the upper floor. The is also a snug/ library with views to the rear and stairs down to a large office and adjacent a room with ensuite shower which could form another 1 bedroomed apartment.
Upstairs the floors are all oak and double doors lead to each of the 6 double bedrooms, mostly ensuite. All are freshly decorated and most have fireplaces, some have built in wardrobes and all have open views over the land.

The price seems very reasonable, especially with so much surrounding land.
I know and love this corner of Gers and can highly recommend it for history & hospitality.
In a village about 8 miles away is where I finally learned to speak French.
No classroom. I just jumped into everyday life with a local family who did mixed farming.
Absolutely the happiest year of my life. The people of the region are known for great sense of humour. There's a continuous teasing. It's like being tickled all day long.
I could go on and on. I hope whoever acquires this property has the same fairy tale experience that I enjoyed.

OH WOW, the moment I saw the front of this chateau I fell in love. It is subdued elegance as is the interior. The sun pouring into the rooms was glorious. A driveway that is almost 1mile from the main road is perfect for peace and quiet AND it sits on 168.032acres. Best of all it is very far south in France which means it will have really mild winters. This is without doubt the most exquisite chateau I have ever seen to date. 💚 ( why would anyone sell this perfect place? )

A dream especially the long tree lined driveway woohoo but one thing i never understand is why in Europe they always place the swimming pools so far from the house it feels disconnected and besides the fact of being a pain in the ass looks like an afterthought like ( ok we need a pool to sell this shit so slap one in wherever ya can ) its always like that with the European properties?
