    Another great series. I'll never complain about my local hills again. The strength and effort you all put in, is inspiring. Not only to complete your daily rides -- but to have the mindfulness to capture the moment. When your tired, hungry, wet and cold. Out of breath from a steep climb or charging downhill, you still remember to get the shot. Send up the drone or set up the tripod for a ride-by. For us, the viewer, we can't thank you enough for the monumental endurance. & to top it all off, the editing is flawless. As a bonus,I learned about a place I knew absolutely nothing about. I can't wait to see what future adventures we'll be getting from Slow Spokes!

    Another great video. They keep getting better and better👍🏻 I love it that you don’t show just the good bits. Sometimes it’s just tough and hard💪🏼 But there’s always the feeling proud bit at the end of the day😃

    Loved this so much :) What an adventure. I will always go through where I am not supposed to. Worst thing that happens is you end up right back where you started. I feel a blend of innocence, shock, and interest always play well :) I hope you guys are returning to europe this summer!

      I’m glad you liked it. :)Hah! “innocence, shock, and interest” is a good way to put it. And we are actually heading back to Europe! Just bought tickets. It’s a shorter trip this time but still something.

    Honestly, I wonder if that sign wasn't referring to the hill on the right and not the path ahead. Typically if it's a warning against trespassing forward, the sign would be posted on the path and not to the side. That sign reminds me of the sort of "No Hunting or Trespassing" signs you see on private property _next to_ public trails like the C&O towpath.

    • @slow_spokes
      @slow_spokes  3 месяца назад +2

      We’re pretty sure that was the case. The rest of the signs we saw afterward were facing sideways, but that first one was facing forward, which made it more confusing. If there had been a gate we would have turned around.

    So valuable watching your videos while planning Sardinia, too. I wonder what time of the year this trip happened - november?

    • @slow_spokes
      @slow_spokes  6 месяцев назад

      It was in May. September would be a great time to go because it’s less crowded (like May) but the water is warm (unlike May). November would be a little cold.

    Amazing video again! When were all these sardinia videos filmed? I'm going there for 3 weeks in May and we are wondering how much of the island we can cover during those weeks. It seems like you have been there for a very long time to see so much of the island!

    Hey guys, dunno how I ended up on this Unlisted video, but here we are! Weird! 😅
    I 100% would have kept going down the forbidden road, but there's also a good chance I would have PEACED OUT as soon as I saw the military! Nice that it worked out!

      Whaaaat hahaha how on earth did you get served this? It’s unlisted for our Patreon because apparently you can’t link a private video. I obviously do not understand how this works. 🤦😆 Anyway, it’ll be out tomorrow for everyone else.
      What’s not shown in the video is the 30+ minutes we stood by the side of the road with no idea whether we were trespassing. We still refer to that day as “military jail day.”
      Anyway, thanks for watching and getting our view to comment ratio REALLY HIGH. ;)

      @@slow_spokes haha, not a problem!
      I think it's because I clicked on the previous video in the playlist and the autoplay went to this one next. Not sure how it managed that, but I've seen it happen on other folks channels.

    I would have assumed the trespassing sign is for the land alongside the road, just don't leave the road. You're not a good lawyer, pleading not knowing Italian contradicts the evidence on the camera that you understand the sign. Always line up your story with the evidence! 😂😂 (Not legal advice, I'm not a lawyer)

    Out of curiosity, how many miles do you two cover a day? My girlfriend and I cycled to and around Iceland and were doing 50miles a day

    • @slow_spokes
      @slow_spokes  6 месяцев назад +2

      We are usually doing between 40 and 60 km a day, so like 25-35 miles. We usually don’t train too much with weighted bikes before we go, we’re usually in mountainous areas, and we also like to take breaks and explore, so our mileage tends to be lower. When we had biked for a while (on our previous trip through Turkey), we were doing like 60-100 kms a day.

    • @aleddavies680
      @aleddavies680 6 месяцев назад

      Thank you for, this. It is very helpful as I struggle to understand distances while cycling with my girlfriend. When I am on my own, I can sustain 160km a day, fully loaded and because of this I find it difficult to comprehend what is a respectable distance when cycling with others. Obviously, terrain dependant. @@slow_spokes

    My German wife has given up trying to get me to obey every sign, and when I by chance get into trouble I charm our way out with “I’m not from here” fake stupidity.

    • @slow_spokes
      @slow_spokes  6 месяцев назад

      For sure! I mean sometimes the rules are rules for a reason and we respect that. But when the rules are stupid, or unclear, sometimes there is wiggle room that a little charm helps with.
