The character Howard (the flamethrower guy in Numa Numa Trail) has a comment that he has a brother in Europe- that is the Engineer Howard from COD WW2's campaign! I believe its the same voice actor as well.
I’m honestly having fun with the campaign! The characters feel like real people and you know who they are and their motivations. The multiplayer is fun, but MW2019 is also my favorite multiplayer in years so that’s probably why I like vanguards because it’s basically the same thing. I played zombies once, and don’t feel a need to again (and that’s saying something because zombies is usually the driving reason I buy these year after year
I liked the Vanguard Campaign. It was short, sweet, and focused on the characters more than the mission. It's a nice change of pace from the "This man must die" trope most CoD's go for from start to finish. "How'd you end up here?" "Blew up a carrier, destroyed a Japaneese base, you?" "Killed a Supremacist by kicking him off a building. You?" "I'm Australian, you really need to ask?"
Buddy what are you talking about? This game had the "This man must die" trope more than any other WWII Call of Duty and even more than the most recent Call of Duty before Vanguard (Cold War).
That’s why this campaign is bad imo. They focused so much on making the characters seem like heroes you’d see in a Hollywood movie or comic while making all the nazis evil. This game is just over dramatic
I love how they’re pulling a ghost with comics for the characters Also can you please do the story of Lucas Riggs you probably will but I think he’s the best member of tfV
They did comics last time in bo4 zombies honestly I like them since you don’t need them but they’re really helpful to the story as long as they’re not the story like in bo3
I would love to see one about Polina Petrova. Her story was great, and the mission where Steiner was hunting you felt so much like the mission from MW 2019 when Fara was a young girl
As a Black British man. It’s so refreshing seeing a Black British leader of a task force. Fun fact Kingsley is based off Real life Black British soldier and Britain’s first black paratrooper, Sidney Cornell.
You know, Vanguard's campaign, although short, managed to surprise me. I never thought it would be decent, but it did. I especially liked Lucas's arc in the campaign the most. And it's a good thing they are supporting the lore with comics.
I don't understand all this hate towards Vanguard... I personally enjoy it more that both Modern Warfare and Cold War. And the fact that the operators of the campaign were really war heroes makes everything better.
It’s not a bad game, it is actually pretty good and the multiplayer and the zombies are really good and the campaign isn’t bad but when i compare it to world at war’s campaign it kinda fell flat
That’s because the multiplayer is pretty bad and the campaign is just horrible. All the characters are superheroes who had a tough background and the nazis are pure evil. In waw all the characters were just soldiers and the game showed the true horrors of war whereas this game makes it look like it was a movie. In waw, they show nazis surrendering and begging for their life and you get the option to kill them or not.
In cod ww2 butcher is in the headquarters of the game in multiplayer and now he is in vanguard does that mean ww2 is connected to vanguard in some way?
I actually thought the campaign was solid despite some flaws. It was nice to see in-depth origins for all members of the squad. Just wish they didn’t kill the big bad then and there and instead save him for a sequel or 2, giving us a more alternate history route rather than an event that basically keeps our timeline and theirs more similar. The performances were outstanding and each of the origins were compelling (especially Polina’s). Since there might be a sequel, I’d like to see how these characters interact in more dangerous and intense situations (assuming it takes place after the war ended and not like immediately after warzone pacific ends). I wanna see more of this teams chemistry as it was a bit short due to the whole origins thing. But like I said, pretty solid as a campaign. As a world war 2 campaign, ehhh not so much imo. As a COD campaign, pretty decent.
can you please do the full story of either doctor yousef salim, sebastian krueger, sebastian diaz, peter maretti, john taylor, sarah hall, or jacob hendricks please? im really interested to hear what you say
The campaign isn’t bad but the thing is that when you play call of duty world at war you feel like you are part of a bigger army especially at the end of the game when are trying to take Berlin, you feel like that you are just one man in an army of thousands and if you die it doesn’t matter since you know the man besides you will continue with the mission, you weren’t Lady Death or the legendary Arthur Kingsly you were just another soldier who happened to be there or in Demitry’s case barley escaped death. I can’t exactly explain it but that game made you feel like a hero since you were just a ordinary soldier just trying to achieve your objective. Another thing about this game is that they were trying to show the main characters as heros who are doing the good thing but as in world at war both sides were just kinda gray since you did see what the germans or the Japanese had done but as you played the game you would see that the Americans or the Russians weren’t such good guys either, at the end of world at war I didn’t feel relieved that we had won the war I was feeling horrible and thinking was it worth it? While at the end of this it was like a movie ending that you felt yay the good guys have won and all the nazis are dead
Perfectly explained. Sledgehammer just doesn’t care about ww2 like Treyarch did. Treyarch showed the horrors of war while sledgehammer made it seem like the Allies were heroes and saved the world and the axis were all evil. Sledgehammer should be banned from making a game based on history ever again
