King Frederic of Denmark and Queen Mary have embarked on their first international voyage on the royal yacht Dannebrog. They will visit Sweden, Norway and other places including the Faroe Islands and Greenland. They are scheduled to arrive in Sweden on May 6, where the royal family will meet with the Swedish royal family. They will then travel to Norway, where they will introduce themselves to King Harald and Queen Sonja. Their entire state tour will conclude on July 8. During the absence of the king and queen, Margrethe will fulfill royal duties.
