Bought my daughter one yesterday, through a Valve amp these sound amazing - I liked how it was sweet and mellow then roaring like a Tiger, her's has a Seymour Duncan bridge pickup mod. Your video shows the range these guitars can do, a great video demonstrating a guitar with some real soul and capability, mellow one minute then roaring like a Tiger - All from one guitar - superb video, excellent playing.

Are the pickups original ones (so the pickups could be Wilkinson® Double Coil MWVC) ? Which strings did you use there ? I have got a V100PGM (I like the colour) which I customed in a V100AFD. Nice playing and great sound! A bit Gilmore and Green like in places. Just goes to show you don't need a guitar with a "magic" name on the headstock to get the sounds! At the folk clubs I've been to, if your guitar doesn't say Matin on the headstock, no mater how good you are, you're automatically crap.

Learn licks. Learn the positions- ideally positions that are side by side so you can slide in and out to create more emotion. You can add more emotion by adding hammer ons, slides, vibratos and double stops. Most importantly, practice. You'll get nowhere if you just laze around

how thick is the body? standard les paul or sg size?
It's a single cut guitar, like a Les Paul. The thickness is like a Les Paul. I have got a V100PGM Lemon Drop which weights 4.5kg.

I just wondered that myself. This makes me want to listen to what is my favourite Pink Floyd song.
I'd say improv on Shine on.. Coming back to the loop on an on so nicely. And yes, it is the best PF song, probably the best song of all time.
