This is called presence of mind for both zampa as well as Henrique...for zampa :- As he saw the batsman going on offside means he will definitely play this shot...for Henrique how can he take instant catch outside the circle... meanwhile for us this is magic to saw he is outside the circle within 5-10 sec...
There are many player in every team who even present outside...during bowler deliver ball.. we need extra umpire to always. Focus on that & give no ball
Hey man ! Standing outside it's not matter. But he has to be inside when the bowler bowls. Because certain fielders must be present inside the inner 30-yard circle.
@@sj24560 in this case if the fielder had been standing inside circle at the time of delivery of the ball ,he should have been running back to take the catch. But here fielder is way outside the circle and moving forward to take catch which is impossible with in a second or two . Here the fielder has cheated everyone even the techonology
They have since changed the rules. Fielders are now allowed to anticipate where the batsman is going to hit the ball and start moving in that direction. The fielders are required to hold their position, other than moving in with the blower, until the point of delivery, after that, all bets are off.
I wonder how long it will be before they start using a fixed camera that can show the entire 30m circle for situations like this. We're only going to see more instances of this sort of thing so it seems inevitable.
Credit of doubt should have been gone to the batsman. Since only one angle of the scene is shown another angle should have been examined by the 3rd umpire before giving the batsman out
Why do people still not understand how third-umpire reviews work. "Benefit of the doubt to the batsman" is a nebulous concept that is not included anywhere in the laws of the game or the playing regulations. If any benefit of any doubt is given to the batsman then it is done by the on-field umpires. Once the decision goes upstairs, what is actually happening is that the third umpire is looking for conclusive evidence that that on-field decision is wrong. There was no such evidence so the on-field decision stands. That decision was out so the batsman is out. There was no evidence that the fielder did anything wrong but you're suggesting that the catch should be disallowed just in case. That's bollocks.
@@wunnell no you can see here the fielder coming forward to take the catch and he was few yards outside the circle. If he was inside the circle at the time of delivery of the ball he would have taken the catch running or diving backward hence the conclusion is here the has cheated or we can say he had taken advantage of lack of evidence. If we use little common sense we can clearly come to a conclusion
@@arunprasad_PMvisitMANIPUR , the problem is that common sense isn't very common, which you so ably demonstrate. If you freeze the video at 1:50, 2:15 or 2:37, you can see that the fielder is inside the circle while the bowler is in his delivery stride. The camera then zooms in, so it is impossible to see the exact moment that he stepped out but it would have to have been less than half a second after the moment that we could last see him, at which point he had both feet on the ground inside the circle and was not even moving backwards. The evidence that is available, although not conclusive, suggests that he was inside the circle at the moment of delivery, which is the only moment that matters. As the on-field umpire said that the batsman was out, the third umpire did the right thing upholding that decision. If you want to change the laws based on your faulty understanding of physics then, by all means, contact the MCC and/or ICC and suggest it.

The issue is that you seem to have ignored the key piece of evidence, i.e. that the video shows that Zampa still had both feet inside the circle and was actually standing flat-footed when the bowler already had his front foot on the ground in his delivery stride. That wasn't a dilscoop. Dilshan hit the ball straight back over his head, not at a 45 degree angle to square like that. He used to specifically duck his so that he didn't scone himself.

It’s the earring that is a real issue.
damn,to be frank, zampa did a terrific job by backing off when he saw henriques go for the scoop!!
Zampa snarls when he gets a wicket, snarls when things don't go his way. Not a good look Adam, lighten up!
