Hello Allen. Love your videos. Well, I find that my Elna 6003 doesn’t have pretty stitches. It looks like 1 line? I tried increasing length but same look? Help? Thanks!!
How do you oil this machine I had mine for 20 years and not used a lot as I have used the elna overlocker mostly. I would like to give it oil before I use it again but nothing in the manual thank you
Debbie Elms-Watkiss hi Debbie Elms-Watkiss. Every machine is different but they all use the same type of components. Bearings that allow for spin. Bearings that let shafts slide like the bearings on the needle bar and linkages that have little hinges on them. All of them need lubricants. In my video on lubrication i try to show just that. I hope this helps. Allen
Carol Smith thanks for your question. This is a misconception in the industry! All machines need lubrication! Oil and grease start to dry and decay the moment they're exposed to air. Over time oil looks like a stain and grease gets as hard as bar soap. Old oil and grease should be removed and replaced with new. Most machines need their hooks oiled every 4-6 hours or less of sewing time!
Please Help! I have a Elna 6003 and I took off the bottom plate to give it a good cleaning, and now it sews in reverse. How can I fix this, I did not take any parts off.
Great video! Very clear and concise. Thanks!
That machine is made by Janome. It uses a standard class 15 bobbin ( Not an Elna bobbin ) and there is a vertical spool pin in the accessory kit..
thank you
I really appreciate the hand placement during the critical moments of detail (can't see anything) LOL
Good video, do you have one on what the buttons do on the elna 6003
@ABBEREPAIR any idea why my reverse isn't working on elna 6003?
Anyone know how to recenter the needle?

Thank you for the video! :-)
I have this machine and Elma 6003. It doesn't say anywhere in the manual about oiling. Is this a self lubricating machine?

I am trying to applique, the book says to use #14, that is way too heavy. Is there another stitch?
