The same thing happens to me, it's very difficult to enjoy it and I end up hating it
Practice building and editing for 30 minutes every day and then try to use the builds and edits in game. Youll improves quickly. And if you still get recked reevaluate how you fight people, don't give easy shots, don't allow for trade shots. Health and shield preservation is key. Not an expert, but hope it helps

This video is on my top gameplay footage of competitive Fortnite of just absolute pub stomping. This squad went straight beast mode. Epic call outs had me reminiscing of old CS LAN parties. Ninja hit some nasty hip fire flicks like at 2:32 . Then to top of the dub he hits in my opinion one of the catchiest dances in the game, AND dances along. You could just tell how hyped everyone was to get this dub. What a bunch of champs. If 10 years from now I think of this game randomly, I’ll probably remember the nature of how awesome Fortnite was of a game thanks to this video. Ninja is a true legend in the streaming community for all of his accomplishments. Best wishes on the New Years stream, show everyone what you can do.
