    Thank you for your honesty, I watched your video a few times before having my loop recorder implanted.
    I found your video would help reassure me when the anxiety set in.
    I hope you're well x

    Thank you for sharing your experience. I’m in the process of scheduling to have a Medtronic loop recorder implanted due to family history of significant cardiac events, personal symptoms (POTS with orthostatic hypotension, tachycardia, and possibly SVT’s), and a KCNJ2 genetic mutation that can potentially cause long QT. I’ve been using my Apple Watch + Qaly app to record EKG’s when I experience symptoms. Looking forward to having the loop recorder to help in identifying any issues and cardiac management. I love that you’ve named your devices (gotta make it fun), and I really appreciate your positive outlook in spite of all you’ve been through. Thank you!

    I just had mine fitted today. Nobody told me to not take ibuprofen. I was sat in an interview, where I proceed to bleed through my white shirt and get taken back to the hospital by my interviewer. If I don't get the job, they'll certainly remember me.

    Had my loop put in last May. Almost a year now i've had it. Found out last week they'll be removing it next month, almost a full year. But found out they'll be putting in a Dual Chamber pacemaker. So my loop helped as far as me getting a diagnosis. One metal out and a new one permanently. Good luck to all!

    There were 5 doctors/ nurses and they were asking me questions but I had a sheet over my face so I felt like an idiot because I didn't know if they were talking to me.Eye contact makes a big difference in conversation lol

    I hope you get more answers 🤗 I have the same implant. I got mine July of last year, after a stroke. I was really bruised and tender for awhile, but now I forget it’s even there. Also, I’ve had multiple MRIs after. The easiest thing to do is to bring the Communicator box with you and the radiology techs will do a download before the test. And I still walk quickly past store metal detectors. 🤣 I’ve never set one off, as of yet. Good luck!

    I am SO glad to hear you make the cyborg joke. That was my first thought when a loop monitor was suggested a year ago after a stroke of an unknown origin. I didn't want to be a cyborg, but I'm slowly coming around and think I will be talking to my cardiologist again.

    You show your boldness with every video. I was always curious about loop recorders but my so-called doctors at the VA are not real forthcoming with information. Oh, and you don't have to worry about your injection area being "racy". You're beautiful inside and out. ☺

    Lynnea you’re the best! New sub here. My wife was a nurse her father a doctor. Both gone now. She had MS from age 39 to 55. I know she would ask you if you have tried weed when you feel an episode coming on. He was a researcher in medical science. He predicted the gut microbiome but didn’t live to see the amazing research going on today. Poo swapping is becoming a remedy. He would have suggested you and others like you obtain samples from healthy individuals and by enema upgrade your own gut microbiome. This is new cutting edge stuff and too soon to expect your doctor to prescribe it. Just a thought. Were my wife still alive today I know she would have tried it. One it can’t hurt. And two it just might cure. Good luck 🍀 to you Lynnea.

      I have a close family member with MS, and I'm sorry for your loss. She was a lucky woman to have had someone like you beside her to get her through the hard days. Although I am open to marijuana use, I work in a field where I am randomly drug tested and although it is legal in my state, it is not legal to use within the medical field when you are part of patient care. I definitely feel that the gut plays a big part in your health and wellbeing, and I actually have an appointment with a GI doctor to go over some concerns I have with my bloodwork, so I am going to cross my fingers. Thank you for your support!

      You’re welcome Lynnea! I risked a twenty year mandatory prison sentence getting my wife the cannabis she needed those sixteen years. Rockefeller’s Laws! Your friend at least doesn’t have to do that. The weed replaces the prescribed antispasmodic Baclofen. Baclofen takes away any strength left after ms takes the most of it. Also the weed will let her laugh when nothing is funny. And give her appetite and let her sleep. When she gets what my wife called the ooglies aka upset tummy then she needs to have her potassium dose reduced. Good luck 🍀 to you both! 💕

    Hi, does it ever get better sleeping with this device in? I’m post op day 3, when I try and sleep on my right side the device pokes outwards, I can see it on my skin, very gross. Does it settle into a position where it doesn’t poke out?
    Thanks

    Hey. How are you doing now ? I hope your in great health. I was wandering how long did it take you to recover and did the loop really help in further diagnosing your condition. Thanks in advance and keep up the good spirit !

    • @DizzyDazeofLynnea
      @DizzyDazeofLynnea  Год назад +2

      I am doing great, healthier than I've been in almost ten years. In regards to the recovery process for the implantation I don't remember being in pain very long. The tissue there is vascular so you heal up quick. More sore than anything. Ultimately it didn't farther my diagnosis, but that was only because the conductive issues I was having with my heart was not something the device was geared for. Having said this, the loop can be extremely helpful in diagnosing other issues and I don't regret having one during the time that I did have it. I had it removed in 2021 after my symptoms subsided.
