An amazing and comprehensive overview straight from the horses mouth! Thanks to the Political Economy Department (especially Frank Stillwell and Adam Morton) for making this happen and hosting the event. It's not everyday you get to have a free up close and personal with a political figure at the core of global affairs.
Without meaning to sound like a groupie, I have to admit that I have become a quasi economy student, having been inspired by Yanis Varoufakis. An intellectual and knowledgeable man with integrity, conviction and strength - and he's funny, too! :-) Great lecture!

Usyd students need to take some f__ing cough medicine. Coughing throughout the video. Also compare the sound quality to others of YV. Did u record directly from the mic or from the ambient sound? However the intro was hilarious.
Very curious about this lecture, but I want to save my ears. It would have been very nice if the sound was better.

+Xanctus unfortunately, edits were due to limits with the recording equipment. Only a few seconds were lost, nonetheless.
Funnily enough, no mention of any tax paid in Greece....where nearly every individual goes out of their way to pay no tax at all. Funny that.
