Thank you for this video. I’ve only had mine in for a week and they already look crazy because I got them for my birthday vacation. I was ready to just take them out but I paid way too much for them to do that! You truly are a gem, thanks again!
Yes I am about to do this to my hair!! I’m DEFINITELY not ready to take these down…. All honesty I don’t feel like taking these down!!!😩😩😩 I thank all you ladies for your videos on how to refresh these braids!! 🤗🤗🤗
Wow I just got mines about 2!weeks ago and my stylist told me to call ASAP to set up my 3 week apt to freshen them. Well now with this gem 💎 you have given us I think I can stretch it a little while longer. I will probably use wrap it strips and let it dry overnight. Thank you for the tip!
Omg thank you! I had been forgetting to to wrap my hair up every night and I’ve only had them in for 2weeks and school starts in 2 weeks so I want to try and keep them in until then!
This is my favorite retwist video!!! ❤ it works so well and it's definitely a hair saver miracle frfr. I get so many compliments when I do this retwist method.
So informative I will do this . I got mine on June 3, 2022 and my hair is thick and I have some new growth coming in . 💯Thank you for this tutorial. New subscriber by the way
Thanks you save my lazy ass was not gonna remove these knotless braids anytime soon South Africa is way too hot for me to be redoing braids. I did my front and back as I love wearing my hair in a bun.
Just curious, if you do this, won't the hair start to lock after a while? I'm planning on keeping my braids in till Christmas because I'm down with a serious case of chop it all off, so I need to keep my hair away till I get over it lol.
Hey does this method make your hair fall out? I recommend it to the girl who originally did my knotless and she said it could possibly make my hair fall out.
This looks exactly like a loc retwist except it’s with braids . I just wouldn’t twist it too much because the tension could become too much . In other words use this sparingly to stretch the style but don’t overdo it . I use to have locs so I’m speaking from experience
I know I'm 6 months late but I have a question: can you still wear your braids down (not in a ponytail) after doing this? I have my first set in now and I'm trying not to take them out lol
Tried. Sadly didn't work for me for more than around 3 days before it started looking untidy and unraveling again. I have 2 month old braids so I will just use elastic bands.
I've had locs before, this method doesn't last long enough for your roots to lock. Even people who retwist their locs know this method literally lasts no more than 2 weeks then it needs to be done again because it unravelles easily. I've been doing this with regular box braids for years and never had any problems 😊
You can try adding an oil on top, or some water and then oil. Or you may have to wash your hair if its really bad. Hopefully oil, water or mousse will do the trick 🙏🏾
i’ve had my knotless braids in my head for almost 2 months and i refuse to take them out 😭 thank you for this!!
Lol this comment has killed me
Same this is the first time I’ve had knotless and love them so much 😭
5 months lol
@@2jcward Goals !!
Girl me too. I don’t have the time to keep getting my hair done, I’m a nurse, wife, & mom. For New Years I’ll get something different 🤣
Thank you for this video. I’ve only had mine in for a week and they already look crazy because I got them for my birthday vacation. I was ready to just take them out but I paid way too much for them to do that! You truly are a gem, thanks again!
black women's skills knows no bounds, doing this asap

Thanks so much! My braids look as if I had just got them done! Definitely using this again
Awesome. Thank You, I’ve had my knotless braids forever. I don’t feel like taking them out yet. This is an awesome thing. Keep going!!!!!!
I did this with aloe vera gel instead Eco gel (because Eco gel gives me white flakes) and it worked perfectly! Thanks!
I used to do the same thing with my braids! Just twist it til it’s tight again 👍🏾
So helpful and I just lovee your accent ☺️
This is so helpful! Braids look good as new and you look stunning Esther!
Thank you hun ❤
Came to the UK and the price to retouch or even have braids done is crazy. This is a life saver

Just curious, if you do this, won't the hair start to lock after a while? I'm planning on keeping my braids in till Christmas because I'm down with a serious case of chop it all off, so I need to keep my hair away till I get over it lol.

I was going to take mine off but I hope I can leave it for 2 more weeks
Thank you for this video.
Thank you so much for the video. Can you tell me the name of the products you using. Thanks
Thank you so much. I’m definitely going to try it 😘
Thankyou for keeping me from looking busted❤️😂
😂😂😂 out here saving lives! 🙌🏾💜
The Hold spray! BINGO! THANKS
So twisting won’t loc the hair? Ppl are saying this but I still want to try for all the people who’s had success!
Never had this issue and most people i know that tried it also didnt have that issue. I recommend not leaving in for too long though.
this was really good!!!!
I know I'm 6 months late but I have a question: can you still wear your braids down (not in a ponytail) after doing this? I have my first set in now and I'm trying not to take them out lol
Yh you can but you need to make sure they dry properly, they won't last as long but it will still make a difference.
Great video!! Just what I need. Thank you🙂
You're an actual genius
Staaappp it! 🙌🏾❤
Thank youuu best video I seen needed this 💕
This is great! Thanks Esther❤︎
This was great. Hair looks good. Im def gonna do this!
Can't wait to do my knotless braids n try it on
Lifesaver !!
what do you think about doing it to every braid on your head? not just the front
Time consuming tbh I personally wouldn't bother
Tried. Sadly didn't work for me for more than around 3 days before it started looking untidy and unraveling again. I have 2 month old braids so I will just use elastic bands.
I would love to try this but I’m scared it will lock my roots ?
This is what I’m afraid of
I've had locs before, this method doesn't last long enough for your roots to lock. You asked the question I was wondering lol thank you!
Update it worked like a charm! Lol
TY! I needed this video😭👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
🙌🏾🧡
@@Ariyahesther I did it! Took All of 10 min🥺Looks Amazing!!!!!🥰💃🏽🥰💃🏽
Game changer! Thanks boo
Will this method loc your hair up
Once u do this can your hair get wet or would it unwrap itself? I’m not talking a shower but let’s say a pool or ocean
Might be best not to but if you do keep your hair in a ponytail so it won't move as much.
Thank you for the video... much appreciated.
Uhhh YES GIRL
Just made my day!
I've had my braids for over 3 months and they look like a mess now. Is the only solution rebraiding everything?
It's mind blowing
Yea you did that
Life saver!!
I have knotless braids just installed and the gel that was used left my hair white is there anyway to correct this without redoing my braids?
You can try adding an oil on top, or some water and then oil. Or you may have to wash your hair if its really bad. Hopefully oil, water or mousse will do the trick 🙏🏾
How long did you let it sit under the scarf to dry?
You favor Tamar Braxton! Thanks for this video ma’am! 🤩 new sub here 😉
sis look mad good😍
Thank you!!
You're welcome 😊
sooo clutch omg
Is it safe to use Got 2 B on ur real hair? Excuse my ignorance but i thought it was something that is only meant for wigs. Am i off base?
You can use it on your real hair
Wow please where do I get all those things you used I mean the names
Will it loc up though bc I don't want it to loc
How long does this last ?
Does this work if you want to leave your hair down?
It does, but doesn't last as long
THANK YOU 😩❣️
Thank you so much❤Please tell where can I get that gel for edges and also clips🙏
Got mine in the local hair shop/beauty supply store. But amazon should have them
is there a way to do this without having clips?
Yes, you can use a hairband/ponytail holder, anything that can keep it in place while it dries
Knotless braids just don’t last as long as the box braids I probs won’t do it again but still thank you for this💕💕
I know what you mean, but once they are old they look better than old box braids in my opinion but they do get messy faster. Thank you for watching 💓
Does this method lock up your hair ?
Never has for me but I don't recommend doing too often or leaving in for too long.
The England accent 🥰🥰😌
😂 I hate it but I guess the grass is always greener 🥰❤
Thanks soooo helpful
😊💕
Love itttt
Nice!!
😍❤️
I retouch mines by washing and then using rubber bands
When you start school tomorrow but you found this video! ☺️😩
