Love the CJ Nick I’ve had mine for over forty years completely rebuilt it twenty years ago. Now it has a 401 V8 T18 trans and many other mods will never get rid of her.
Love it! I recently purchased a 1979 Cj5 and it is a bit more rusty but I got it running and am now in the process of what you are doing here. I have the tub off while I work on the frame and underside, I also plan to rewire the whole jeep and get new gauge clusters the same as you. I will follow your progress! It is such a different beast compared to your Tesla and my daily Civic haha!
That's awesome! Congrats! They are definitely fun to work on. I ended up getting a whole new wiring harness.... I'm excited to get it installed. Yeah soooo different than a Tesla or Civic haha thanks for watching Luke!
Lol, so I'm backwards. I posted on vid 2 and now watching the first one. My bumpers and rollbar on my 78 is going to be satin black. Frame the POR15 gloss and thinking royal blue for the body. But that could all change before I have a spray gun in my hand.
haha 😂 Sounds like a great plan to me! I love black bumpers and rollbar. Sounds like a sick build! Thanks for watching! Hit me up if you have any questions I'm happy to respond
It is WILD how similar our jeeps are. I just picked up a 75 CJ5 for 4k, and its damn near in the same condition, minus the brakes are completely shot. Really interested in the progress you're making, subscribed!
Just came across your videos looking forward to the Jeep build congratulations on the find really nice around here in Illinois things don't last that long
The day i go to the dealership and they say " all we have is electric " is the day i resto mod an old jeep and daily drive it. Cherry red sounds nice, myself i'd olive drab it
Thanks for watching Timothy! I feel like Facebook marketplace is the new hotness these days. That's where I found my CJ. So just keep monitoring for a good deal there
COLOR Vitamin C, a Ford shade of orange Red, pick your flavor. White, steel wheels Pearlescent, pale OD, an homage. Light metalic/pearl blue, washed denim
Thanks for watching everyone! I'm excited to get this baby back on the road.... any die hard Jeep owners out there? Comment below!!
I am more of a die hard mustang guy you should get an old one of those.
@@elihunnicutt7872 yeah it was either this or an old yellow ranger 😉
Nick, when you gonna update for us the finished Jeep? Thank you
Burnt orange is honestly a solid color choice
Ooo I hadn't thought about that! That would look sick with some black rims/wheels
Great project!
Absolutely! Thanks for watching!
Will be awesome to restore this CJ5. I don't understand how people modify this jeeps so bad... 😞
Nice video!

Haha 😂 that's awesome. Thanks for watching!! Red does sound epic
The day they say "all we have is electric" will be the day after the government makes it illegal to drive anything else on a public road.
Man I'm looking for an xj right now. What's the best place to find one? I've looked on Craigslist and offer up
