I’m half salvadorian, grew up in Washington state speaking English my whole life. But once I got to my mid/late 20’s. I wanted to reconnect with my roots & educate myself more about them. I also had access to the internet & some old Spanish cassette tapes I borrowed from my mom. Learning it opened up a whole new world to me. & No, it was not easy because I’m from that ethnicity, it was very difficult and took me a few years! So shoutout to him and anyone else who has the tenacity, courage, & confidence to learn a second language.
