Will always be my golfing hero. Was fortunate enough to watch follow him around Wentworth. Such a dominant player. Such a deft touch with his wedges and putter.

I was moved to tears watching this as I'll always remember watching his swashbuckling style and seeing him on tv for the first time at Birkdale in 76 at the Open. The unparalleled grace of his swing can never be described in words. The first time I saw him (and his swing) I was blown away. Seve was a golfing genius to never be forgotten. Great job with the music here as well....thanks so much for posting.

This is a great collection of wonderful golf from Seve - thankyou and as someone else said the music is great too. I first saw Seve play when he was 18 years old and I watched him throughout his whole carreer. I miss him greatly and he cannot be replaced so clips like these are gold to all golf fans especially ones in the future who will not have seen him play so thankyou once again.

    Seve,
A man who put more passion into each swing than i can ever hope to experience in my whole life.
A gap in the beautiful game of golf that will never be replaced.

I grew up knowing about this legend from word of mouth, remember, before the internet. When legend meant something. Then I got a TV, and saw him in action. I think I was struck by his passion. Weather it be golf or hearing him talk and seeing him smile. I wish he were immortal. So many people in this world have never heard of him. If seve played guitar, or sang, or drove fast cars for a living, he'd be the most popular at it. Charisma and passion and confidence are all you need. People need to wake up and take note of seve as he teaches you how to do the things you want, against all those claiming to have rational thought and opposition to flamboyance, he teaches you how to fulfil a life, how not to get sacked in to the world of screens and monitors. Seve is what live is about. Seve is life.

Que Lindo! The one thing that has always stood out about Seve is his comportment and demeanor at all times. He is such a laid back fluid player. He doesn't get angry but will become passionate. There is a big difference between the two emotions. Passionate responses will elevate his position for the next swings, while anger is wholly fruitless. You can learn quite a lot from Severano! Ciao Bello!

I was standing right behind him when he made the nervous joke in 91 PGA, classic Seve moment.. Such a sad loss..

I remember watching the matchplay from Wentworth when Seve was working for The BBC. He was with Ken Brown out on the course describing the difficulty of reading the greens. They were at the 6th or something with only a few spectators watching as the tournement had not started and Ken said that anything short of 20 feet away was nye on impossible. Seve put a ball down and with his putter, put it straight in the hole much to the delight of those watching, and Ken too. Would love to see that again.

the first time i watched seve at wentworth was in 1978 during his semi with simon owen.i stood behind the 16th tee and watched him shank a 1-iron miles high into someone's garden.after a few spanish pleasantries he pulled his driver out and smashed the provisional over the small track that cuts across the fairway.a good memory for me and a bad day for him,he went on to lose the match 3and2,i always wonder if anyone else saw this shot.

If you're ever lucky enough, go and play the West Course. Finally did so in 2012 many years after first going there to watch the PGA in 1986.
Was a bit like playing St. Andrews in that most of the round is spent thinking about Seve and a few other notable greats.
Sevefan, thank you for your videos; duende!

I too have not seen that shot in 1983 but I assume it would be in the official 1983 Ryder Cup film if one exists. My fondest memory would have to be the 1988 Open. I took the day off school to watch it as the final round went to the Monday due to the weather. There was enormous pressure on Seve to win another major after so many near misses from 1985 to 1987. And there is just something about winning 5 that is so much more than 4. That day was the best I've ever seen him play. Incredible !!!

How was his driving so wild with such a beautiful swing! A swing that would still be classed as the modern way in 2012!

He was actually a very straight driver of the golf ball in his prime. It was just that he always went for a dangerous shot that got him into trouble, but he had the skill to rescue almost any situation and he knew it. .

@2468Bubbly Thank you very much. My aim for these videos was to keep his memory alive and to share the thrills and the teeth grinding he caused me over 20 years! I taped all his play on VHS from around 1983, I have hours and hours of Seve but not the time to edit it. I,m still searching for the clip of his 1983 Ryder Cup bunker shot, I will not settle till I find it. (See the video I made requesting info on it).
    Thanks again. :-))))

@darrenryan92 Hi there, glad you liked the video. Click on my name 'Sevefan' to see the rest of Seves videos here on YT, there's around 9 or 10 of them. I have hours upon hours of recorded TV golf, tapes, DVD's that have hours of Seve. I'll do a couple more videos in his memory when I get the chance.
I cant find anywhere his bunker shot from 1983 Ryder Cup against Zoeller. I've contacted everyone from P Alliss to Seve himself but no body has seen it. Have you?
    Thanks again. Sevefan

I saw that 1983 shot live on TV but I could have sworn blind he hit it from the fairway. I have since seen it on a you tube video but I can't remember which one - I'll try and track it down. By the way, what is the music here? Is it Paco de Lucia?
