I hear this piece and I think... why wasn't THIS the main theme? Its beautiful, its uplifting, its sorrowful. Its got everything a BG title theme should have.
I gave my own Tav (who yeah, is actually named just Tav because I thought it was sweetly short and simple) the Urchin background - born and lived in harsh conditions a few years of her childhood right there, in Rivington. I could go into more detail but I just wanna say when I first heard this tune, I immediately "headcanoned" it as her theme❤ it just felt so right to me
It astounds me that this is just background music for a fairly small part of the game. This is an astonishingly beautiful piece of music and it's relegated to not even appear on the soundtrack. It shows just how high quality the music is in BG3.
@@tomaszmarzeion3002This is the melody that's used for Art Cullagh's song about Thaniel up through "waiting for the sun forever", though it's not exactly dead on the same (partly because the poor man is singing it while in a coma). Give them both a listen and you'll see what I mean
This song makes me cry a good healthy cry! I love it so much, I know Borislav couldn't put everything on the OST but this song really should be on it! 🎶🎵💜
After hearing Art's song about him and Thaniel in the game, I went looking for an official non-coma version that's accompanied by music. Found this instead. I've had it on repeat for the last two days because it's one of the most beautiful pieces of music I've ever heard. ... I'd still love to hear it as the bard himself would have performed it, though, if any of this world's bards would like to take a crack at it. I'm honestly surprised no one has yet.
Wondering about Rivington and noticed these soundtracks. I wonder why these are not released officially. They are better at some level than these released.
I swear I’d heard this before in Divinity Original Sin 2, had a search but I think it was just that the Rivellon track (when you first get on the ship) reminds me. I still swear I’ve heard it before though…
The only thing that sucks about this tune is Rivington has the best ambient music but it's the area you spend the least time in

I like chilling in Sharess Caress balcony watching the view, sometimes yeet people😂

Rivington has to be my favorite area in act three and this music just makes it a whole lot better

Whenever I hear 0:22 kicking in, im dropping whatever I'm doing and just listen, cause it is just so damn beautiful 😢
It's a shame that this melodic part is not used anywhere else, I'd love to see that melody building up for the whole track :)

For those who didn't notice, 1:18 -- that's Art Cullagh's Thaniel song from act 2.
I have been looking for this track so long, thank you! It reminds me Doctor Who ❤
My favorite overture. Wraps so many elements together.
this strikingly beautiful track had me searching the internet
Rivington's music might be my favorite, most soothing ambient music from the game, besides the Act 1 camp music!

Been trying to find this since I heard it in game. Thank you so much
Same. It's a crime that it isn't on the OST.
@2:24 starts my favorite part. Ugh I wish this was OST

Ambient music in this game is so under appreciated and it’s a shame because it’s so so good
3:23 to the end heals my soul. ❤ 😢
O champion, my champion. Thank you. This song had me as soon as the strings kick in.
Omg thank you. This is one of my favorite tracks in the game and not released on the OST. 😭
Damnit, am not crying, you're crying😢
So beautiful
0:40 Anyone else hearing the Gallifrey theme from doctor who?

Is it just me or does it have some Yan Tiersen like undertones at the beginning.
