Hello ! good review but I 'll give a quick tip for camera guy : when Thomas explained for interior to us the image in there was a bit darker so then the camera has a little light (the blitz) turn it ON when doing dark interiors reviews so we can see better what Thomas was pointed too.. ok ? otherwise good job.. keep up ! ;0)

Another nice video Thomas. The quality of your videos is exceptional. Your in-depth detail is always very much appreciated. We recently purchased a Tiguan R Line and your videos really helped before going to the dealer. The Tiguan is a great car, especially in R Line spec with 20" rims & 9.2" screen. All the best and greetings from Australia.
As always Thomas/ Autogefühl team, Great review. It will be interesting to see if VW brings this and or the T-Roc to the U.S. Market. WIth The Beetle ending production next year, they have a chance to fill that gap. While I'm not a fan of SUV/crossovers, I can understand VW's thinking in bringing more of these vehicles to the markets. That Orange one you showed was really nice. However, I don't see a lot of manual transmissions being sold here in the U.S. market. Unfortunately we have become a little lazy in that regard. The Dashboard layout reminds me of the new Jetta. All be it maybe somewhat smaller. Thanks again for this review. All the best to you folks. P.S. Thomas, try getting into the in the back of a VW Ghia. At 1 meters 86 or 6'1, you might have a time getting back there.
Great review Thomas. Your presentations just get better and better. I think it is a cool little SUV. I would be happy to drive it for my commute around city and even use it for short trips to the countryside. Sometimes you just want to jump in the smaller car and not drag a big sedan or large SUV for a short trip. Affordability and practicality all the way people. I am looking forward to what VW does as they develop e-mobility with this category of vehicle.
Another guality review from Thomas very clear and well put i currently drive the Skoda karoq 1.5 tsi superb quality car wonse youve switched to a suv car you never want to go back to sitting down low in a salon far more comfort on longer journeys really like this new suv might consider down sizing in the future
Great review and i really love the editing between shots. You guys are my favorite channel! :) It's like this. For us living in the city and have a small family, Polo is too small. Golf is too big and expensive, TRoc to expensive. So this fits perfectly. It has a big enough boot to load the stroller and a big bag, wide opening for a child seat, enough comfort for a occasional trip on a motorway and a great fuel economy. And yes, Golf is too expensive for some people because as soon as you start with options, especially for us outside of EU, it can get into premium territory quite quickly.
Intresting...Here in South America it'll be 10cm longer and 5cm wider due to regional market preferences and needs. As always ...your work must be seen in full screen and full length #letsgo!
Sigh, Another car to add to my very long list of cars that I am interested in (lease from around Q1/Q2 2019). In no particular ranking order: VW Polo, (upcoming)Audi A1, (upcoming) Peugeot 208/2008, (upcoming) Toyota Corolla, (Upcoming) Mazda 3, Kia CEED, (upcoming) Renault Clio, Seat Ibiza. I know some of these are in differing segments, but I do have a fairly strict budget. All these cars will be comfortable enough anyway. So it is about performance, tech, interior/exterior design and of course what I can get for my money.
I actually like this. Especially the back of it. Very much my style of modern and daring look. It looks more boxy and off-roady than cars like the Captur (really don’t like that). It kills me that it’s not an EV, but that’s a whole other conversation. But it’s my favourite of these type of cars anyway.
welll... the brasil presentation of T cross featured a white one, with white interior ( n-i-c-e !) and with a blackroof and what looked like a sunroof !
Saw this and ordered the Fiesta Active instead. I already didn't like the way the T-Cross looks, but when you said there'd be no sunroof, that was the killer.
The 'T' series cars are a let down on the interior....ALL of the soft touch materials have gone, even the VW quality trademark of having felt lined door bins and glove box has also gone - now its as scratchy and low quality feeling as many cheaper competitors cars. After 20k miles i'd imagine these things will be rattling and creaking like an old 4 poster bed. Both the Golf and Polo which these things are based on have much higher quality materials (for now anyway, god knows what the penny pinchers would have done in the upcoming Mk8 series). The Mk7 golf already had it's soft touch removed from the rear......i really don't like the direction VW is heading.
@@trevitrevi9367 Aye, but i don't know how an 'R-Line' car, which is supposed to be super duper top spec, doesn't have a single piece of soft touch material in it. If this is an R-line, what's in an S-Line? - do they even have carpets!....just all very disappointing.
blower In previous Polo only Highline had some soft dashboard.. And the second thing except hard plastics in VW was the same steering wheel from "cheap" Up to most expensive Arteon. Also why Skoda Kamiq isn't for Europe? T-Cross would not be bought? And I am waiting to see the interior of new Skoda Scala.. hard as well not to be better than Golf? ;)
Yep, I just bought a 2017 Golf and love it. Fit and finish, felt, soft touch everywhere. So much higher quality than the Jetta I used to have. I see VW is dumbing down the Golf for 2019. Sad.
Very informative review as always! I think it's VW's way of Kei Cars from Japan: boxy design, lots of room for its size, sliding rear bench, affordable, small engines (well not 660cc but still)
I really want to know about the real and indisputable similarities and differences between the new T-Cross and and the Seat Arona (of the same trim) except of the cost difference.
Hey! Thomas! ... Thanks for the info! T-Cross has a very modern design...The interior looks very attractive and with the necessary technology such as the Cockpit. However, there are details that I do not like, such as the lack of options such as Sunroof, which is always necessary for me.... Also if you look at the roof from the inside you do not have the 4 fasteners for the hands that all the cars have, the Seat Arona is the same as this car, in that aspect. . The exterior colors are very striking as that blue and orange and the interior should have been offered a more comfortable seats with ventilation.. Everybody thinks that the SUV is the solution of the future, but it will never have the stability of a Golf so it will be necessary to be very careful with the handling and avoid a rollover. . However people have forgotten that gas prices may rise again and the SUV market could collapse again... In the 90s it was a US fame and now everyone wants to imitate that....
According to VW, they are trying to recoup the cost of Dieselgate. Too many models - and I’ve bought a new VW every 2/3 yrs since the mod 1970’s! Want a small crossover - T-Roc, mid Crossover - Tiguan and a big one? Touareg. Absolutely no need for another crossover in the lineup. No AWD, no sunroof?
great vid as usual, but I just don't get these small 'SUV's" cross-overs.... why!? it's a Polo with terrible ride height, horrible wheel gap (aka increased roll-over) and ugly plastic fenders but offers little additional space over the Polo...
Like Kraenk12 says: this cross-over offers the extra head and legroom that lower cars lack. As for me, I prefer not to have to crouch in a car. Designers seem to forget that mankind is becoming taller.
Hmm .. couple of questions - I see there is no grab handles in the car... any reason why? - todate I thought only the discover pro supports display of map on active info screen and centre media screen at the same time. Is there plans to update the discover nav to do .the same.? - two USB ports in the rear... will the polo be getting this ? - is it possible to hide the parcel shelf ...just like the t-roc, Tiguan etc? Sliding rear seats..reminds me of the.first versions of Citroen ZX ... Great Video again.. Cheers
I like the new steering wheel, VW has been using that steering wheel for 5 years. Look at Honda and Toyota, they use different steering wheels for their models.
Hey Thomas can you help ?I saw the panoramic sunroof and the contrasting black roof of t cross in Brazil market!in Europe we will have the same choices?

@@autogefuehl I'm talking about setting the location with Android Auto (google maps). I'm interested to know if using this app connection would require my attention to the infotainment screen or can the T-cross mirror the directions on the screen behind the wheel

Great review. I however checked it a bit on the fly. I think there was no door closing sound test and no mention of whether the plastics on the dash are soft or not. On the other hand although I love the look of the Arona and the T-ROC, this new one looks a bit weird.
I agree with yourself Thomas with your opinion between the Arona and the V.W. T Cross. I not sure what one is the biggest between them, as i forgot the measurements that you gave us. Thomas, what an elegant review. Very nice. You made me like this little car. Only thing is I’d like an AWD. I need it for the snow in New England. I’m confused though as to which market it’s marketing. US? Brazil? India? EU?
