People in Ankara don't do that. Or Ordu. Actually I thought only people in İzmir walked down the center of the street. So if you're from Istanbul you've given me yet another reason not to like the city 🌆
Hahaha funny you say that because it was one of the many things that amazed me about Türkiye, mainly around Galata tower where streets are narrow and cars drive like if they were in the middle of a large and wide avenue. People walk in the middle of the road (mainly because the sidewalks are narrow or they have outdoor sitting for restaurants) all you have to know is if you hear a “beep beep” you need to move to the side😂 after 2 weeks in Türkiye, you get pretty accustomed to it and becomes natural to not even be nervous walking in the middle of the road. I ADORED Türkiye, I hope one day I will return❤
I have truly enjoyed all of your videos, especially the one from Ankara. I hope that you visit Çanakkale on your next trip. There’s lots to see and understand about how Türkiye became an independent republic thanks to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. Hopefully you will understand why he is still loved and admired by his people. Have a nice trip back home to the states!

I had come across your November 10th video before. And I had tears in my eyes by your reaction! Today, YT put this video in my time line. And I liked this, too. I subscribed and as a Turkish citizen, now I am looking forward to your videos from other countries! Our world needs people like you. Highlighting what we have in common and appreciating the differences. Thanks for your work. Have a nice trip to wherever you're heading to.

Hahaha good to hear! I really enjoyed it he “stress” of Istanbul. It might’ve been just favorite place actually looking back but seemed a bit cliche to say hahaha
Thank you about the cuisine. I am in love with it. Hopefully I will return to my country before the end of 2024. I have lived in overseas for 52 years, only through summer holidays which were mine to visit for 3 months. I intend to stay there forever hopefully. Really missed everything about that unique place of mine, after years of England, Germany, seen most of Europe, 42 years of USA, alright places but...never comes close to MY TURKIYE.
I truly like the way you make your videos, simple and genuine, no exaggeration or smoke and mirrors but honest reaction, especially with your November 10th video. I am looking forward to see you complete the rest of your journey here. Good luck 🧿
I loved watching you travelling around my country. This trip introduced me to this channel but your great and undisruptive commentary are the things that'll keep me here. Good stuff.
Yeah seriously your commentary--it's like we're discovering places with you, very immersive narration (again, film school, it all now makes sense). I won't forget the durian episode any time soon. Or all the new years water guns. Such cool stuff we can vicariously experience through you. Thank you
If you return to Bodrum again, I recommend you take the ferry to Datça if you haven't visited before. Also, be sure to see Van and its surroundings in the East.
Haha did the waiter gave you his bus card. Wow. The waiter is so thoughtful because it is hard to find those plastic cards in stock (except city center). And paper cards suck and only work around 6-10 times then it is trash. He can just hand it to you since it is an anonymous card, which is nice.
it was nice to know you :) I will be waiting for another İzmir video. and this time I recommend you to visit my home town(Ordu) or any Karadeniz city too. I think you will love the nature and the people. take care of yourself dear friend :)
Kadıköy is truly a very special region. It is freer and more fantastic than most cities in Europe. It is located right in the middle of Asia and Europe, close to everywhere.

Your videos, your conversations were not in a format of standardized explainer video. You were always at the center of the video with your own story and sincere chats with the audience. I liked that a lot. I like your pronunciation a lot as well, because it was easy to follow. So it was a pleasure to watch your videos for me, and hope to see you again. I may give you some different destinations for your next episode at that time as an employee of ministry of culture :) good lucks 🤗
I've been enjoying your videos a lot. I'll be moving there for a couple of years from August and I'm trying to find out as much as I can. Yours are among my favorite 👍
I love your videos, I hope you visit more places in Istanbul!🥳 I live in Istanbul and there are really so many places to visit. I hope your channel continues to grow💪🏻
It's nice that you are satisfied with Turkey. Come again in summer, you will love the Aegean and Mediterranean beaches. Orhan Pamuk is an author that I like very much. Have a good journey.
While I was watching all your videos with excitement, I came to this last Türkiye video and realized that I had finished the series, which made me a little sad in a good way. On your next visit, you can definitely visit the Black Sea cities of Samsun, Trabzon and Rize. As you mentioned Kars in the video, there is a touristic train service to go to Kars, its name is Eastern Express, it goes as far as Sivas, Erzincan, Erzurum and Kars. You can see them all in a few days. You should also definitely see the Thrace region, such as Edirne and Çanakkale. It's been a little long, but I really enjoy following you and I'm looking forward to your next videos.🤩

👋🏼 Small struggling Travel Channel here. I love your content, thanks for this great video! You inspire me to keep grinding my channel, maby one day I’ll grow as big as you 🥲
Loved this summary-like video! Hope you do this for every country! I also really enjoyed your reverse Antalya travel video. Have to watch it again. In this video you mention film school. That made everything fall into place. Great editing, great structure to all of your videos Hope your next visit includes the black sea region! If you're back in İzmir (yay for it being your favorite city this visit) let us know in advance so maybe we can do a meetup at a cafe (I mean all your viewers, not just me 😂) Also do your travel lord challenge when you're here next time. And wherever you're going to next. Took me a while to understand the challenge and would love to see it in other locations. Safe travels! 🧿
Always appreciate your comments! I’m trying new approaches to the videos that you’ll see soon. When I go back to Türkiye the videos could be very different! I hope to get more interaction with locals in future vices (and videos I will be putting out). Always trying to see what’s fun to watch but it would be great to meet more people in Türkiye next time!
Yeah I haven't met up with expats here at this city at all. It was easier in Ankara because the US embassy would have get togethers like for the Fourth so you'd naturally meet other expats. Incidentally, don't come here in the summer. It's scorching hot in many places with little to no AC. If you come at the end of August next year you'd be here for Victory day and could leave by November 10th after which it'll be all rain again. Even in September you can easily swim in Bodrum. I've seen folks swimming in October and November there but they were Russians and Brits so....northerners... Ok I am going to stop commenting. Been watching your videos on my smart tv lately so haven't been leaving comments but tonight I had to when the smart tv said I could only leave comments thru the RUclips mobile app 🤦🏻♀️ Old people like me are technically challenged 🤦🏻♀️ Ok no more comments. Take care! Safe travels Looking forward to future videos!
I was expecting the last question would be asking your opinion about unpleasant experiences. I would like to hear that. Anyway, thanks for visiting our country, It is good to know you. I will be watching your next videos. Take care.
You should’ve asked me! Actually I’m 3 months I only had 1 unpleasant experience and I don’t think it was reflective of the Turkish people so I didn’t say it. Overall I it was great 3 months
Thanks again! Planning to spend 2 months in the Philippines later this year (I’ve already been there multiple times though)! Any suggestions on where to go?
you should go to blacksea region too it would be very interesting to see foreigner youtuber there because no one did this before and there are lots of thing to see actually but if you wanna go you should find a guider to show you things place becase most of interesting things are at mountain and forest. And please go there too bc ı reallt wanna watch this 😅😅
Interesting question. I did see a lot of dogs but it was much easier to come in contact with cats. I don’t know about the statistics but I think the dogs were much more accepted and looked after than other places like Southeast Asia for instance. If I am walking around in Cambodia and see a dog I would be much more careful than if I’m walking in Türkiye and see a dog.
@@TravelLordOnLoc Hahaha, I think I heard Matt Damon say that on a talk show. I am certain that you’ve been told you resemble Matt Damon, or look like his younger brother. i would like to ask, how did you stay so unbiased during this whole trip? there's loads of stereotypes or propaganda or whatever about türkiye or turkish people and you don’t seem to be effected at all it’s almost impressive haha
Hahaha well I try not to go into a new place with my decision of it already made up. It wasn’t hard for me especially because everyone was so nice while I was there
Hahaha well I shot this a few months ago. The visa I can get is for 3 months. Like I said in the video I thought I would just stay for a few weeks so I didn’t think it would be a problem at the time
I found a cheap Airbnb there and picked it because it was close to Taksim Square. Once I got there I realized why it was so much cheaper than the others hahaha

I just keep traveling. I am in East Asia now but I hope to make a return to Türkiye soon! There is more to see!
👋🏼 Small struggling Travel Channel here. I love your content, thanks for this great video! You inspire me to keep grinding my channel, maby one day I’ll grow as big as you 🥲
Happy to hear that! Keep at it!
Yine bekleriz, arayı çok uzatma. Kendine iyi bak.
See you soon!
Loved this summary-like video! Hope you do this for every country!
I also really enjoyed your reverse Antalya travel video. Have to watch it again.
In this video you mention film school. That made everything fall into place. Great editing, great structure to all of your videos
Hope your next visit includes the black sea region!
If you're back in İzmir (yay for it being your favorite city this visit) let us know in advance so maybe we can do a meetup at a cafe (I mean all your viewers, not just me 😂)
Also do your travel lord challenge when you're here next time.
Been watching your videos on my smart tv lately so haven't been leaving comments but tonight I had to when the smart tv said I could only leave comments thru the RUclips mobile app 🤦🏻♀️
Old people like me are technically challenged 🤦🏻♀️
Ok no more comments. Take care! Safe travels
Looking forward to future videos!
@@finduko I've got a few plans in place so maybe next spring? I've heard about the summers so, yeah I'll avoid that time if I can!
Since you're a fan of Orhan Pamuk, have you visited The Museum of Innocence in Istanbul?
Absolutely! Watch the video I did about Istanbul hidden gems. It shows the museum of innocence right away. Loved the book and the museum!
Thank you for sharing my Beautiful Dream Country ❤ Love watching from Philippines ❤
Thanks again! Planning to spend 2 months in the Philippines later this year (I’ve already been there multiple times though)! Any suggestions on where to go?
Great video, thank you.
Thank you! For watching!
You should get a Turkish ID now, you love Turkey so much😊😊

Hahaha I always try to show the maps from the perspective of the country I’m in
Good to meet you bro! Have fun and come back again this Summer haha 😎
Thanks! I’ll be back soon!
Yeah I will check out that area on my next trip! I think it’ll be better to see when it’s not so cold
@@TravelLordOnLoc Karadeniz genelde yağmurludur.
@@ardacaglar... Ok, I’ll keep that in mind!
You are very welcome any time you want to come back 🫶🏻 Best wishes from Izmir

Interesting question. I did see a lot of dogs but it was much easier to come in contact with cats. I don’t know about the statistics but I think the dogs were much more accepted and looked after than other places like Southeast Asia for instance. If I am walking around in Cambodia and see a dog I would be much more careful than if I’m walking in Türkiye and see a dog.
always welcome good people
Thank you!

Traveling in the Eastern Black Sea region will be different
Yeah I agree. Probably can’t make it until next year but I’m excited for it!
at 6.30 did you get really emotional,or is it just me making it up? :)
Yeah it was very moving! You can see the video about it
I'd like to know when you'll be in Jason Bourne 6.
Hahaha I can’t officially confirm or deny that
@@TravelLordOnLoc Hahaha, I think I heard Matt Damon say that on a talk show. I am certain that you’ve been told you resemble Matt Damon, or look like his younger brother. One of my favorite actors and not just because of Jason Bourne. Good Will Hunting, The Martian, etc. I like your videos, keep it coming.
@@lhka4 I have heard that I look like Matt Damon hahaha
Read Yasar Kemal and come back to visit Cukurova/Adana. great videos.. enjoy your journey..
Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll write that down!
What is the soundtrack at 7:00?
It’s called “Turkish Booze” by Romano. It’s from a site that I get background music so I’m not sure if it is easy to find or not
How come you missed the black sea part of turkey 😢
I ran out of time! It’s the area I will visit first next time!
welcome
Thank you!
Bravo
Thank you!
i would like to ask, how did you stay so unbiased during this whole trip? there's loads of stereotypes or propaganda or whatever about türkiye or turkish people and you don’t seem to be effected at all it’s almost impressive haha
Hahaha well I try not to go into a new place with my decision of it already made up. It wasn’t hard for me especially because everyone was so nice while I was there
I went to those two! They’re in the Izmir and Bodrum videos
Hahaha well I shot this a few months ago. The visa I can get is for 3 months. Like I said in the video I thought I would just stay for a few weeks so I didn’t think it would be a problem at the time
Thanks. Come again
Will do!
