Thanks--- all good recommendations! I was glad to see you bring up ISLAND OF LOST SOULS...It's a big fave of mine, and an actual horror movie that still can shock a viewer today, with a brilliant Charles Laughton performance. The only one I don't know is KING OF THE HILL, but I"ll be checking that one out soon!
Thanks for these under radar films to consider; unfamiliar with King of Hill and will definitely investigate, thank you. Beauty and the Beast, saw it streamed long time ago and thought it was excellent, very scary with its foreboding atmosphere, the way the Beast would be behind the door or shadows, lurking in shadows. My suggestion for under the radar Criterion....Local Hero, starring Peter Riegert, and Burt Lancaster in which he's on screen for brief sequences but holds you spellbound with his superlative acting. The film is like a slow burn comedy, but with serious elements that are full of heartfelt emotions, humanity. Filmed in scenic and beautiful rural Scottish coastline areas, small fishing village.
My apologies; I tend to forget that folks outside the US are watching my channel as well. Hopefully you can access some of these films via the other ways I mentioned.
True, Criterion has a very different schedule to the UK, like we just got Thelma and Louise on 4k end of Janoh well better late than never.@@thekazdoyclosetwithjerryka1013
great episode! Thank you for sharing awesome picks 👏 gonna watch Island of lost souls, also I agree with ya about Island of Dr Moreau good flick for the night, but I think production of that movie far more interesting then movie itself heh
Is the Johnny Ringo character in The Gunfighter the same personage as John Wayne’s (the Ringo Kid) in Stagecoach? I have a long list of “must buys” for me before I get to films like these, but I appreciate you researching where to find these streaming. I’ll definitely check out a couple of them on RUclips. Also, thanks for the heads up on the rumor about Tuesday, as I knew it had to be very soon.
Thank you! Always a pleasure to listen to👍😊
Those are some nice recommendations, I always enjoy seeing what others put up as suggestions by drawing from the back catalogue.
Got me thinking about King of the Hill, Moonrise and Salesman. Thanks.

I don’t know if those characters are related, but Ringo is for sure one of those overused names in westerns.
