There is a reason why Sizzla, Beenie, Bounty, Buju, Capleton cannot retire and are still being asked to do Live streams and shows to represent Jamaica. There is a problem when 50 year old dancehall artists are in more demand than young artists. Big problem

I agree on your second point only, drinking smoking weed and wearing tight pants is their "culture" which is for removed from real rock and the answer, it's like asking an up and coming white artiste to study Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra.

I am a fan of the trap dancehall and the new young generation HOWEVER, I’ll also admit that it not working and it’s not the formula for success. The music just sounded sound the same… and it’s cause of the sound not necessarily the lyrics although the lyrics do need to clean up a bit. Too much scamming and guns lyrics …. The 90s dancehall era will forever be the best because of the sound and the topics of the songs

Repetition is the mother of skill. Any industry you choose to be apart of always look at who is successful and how they got their success and if you can, ask them how to get to their level. If the recipe is a hit; why change it.
