Great video! I would have enjoyed learning more about how you manage the amount of content to process when you get back from your vacation. It looks like you still took most of your photos through Lightroom for example.
Thanks for the great comment! In terms of processing I do some while I’m still on vacation. I’ve actually found the mobile version of Lightroom to be very helpful. However, when I really want to maximize my edits, I will go to the desktop version. Sometimes if I have my computer with me that means that I will spend a bit of time at the end of the day going through my footage or photos, or I just plan on a day when I get back.
Really great guide for those trying to practice their photography/videography skills/ capture their memories, while being present in the moment, and treating your travels as a vacation first. Loved this video, and would love to see more content like this:) Maybe one on how to edit these types of shots (primarily for video) together into without totally obsessing about all the details (quick edits/tips for the same)?
Thanks for the great comment & question! I’m going to be honest with you - I’m the last person who should answer your question. I have no idea how to edit travel videos. It’s never been my thing. This travel video was the very first one I’ve ever done and possibly the last 🤣. But I will continue to travel and bring a camera so it’s not likely the last time you’ll see similar content. There is however, so many amazing travel content creators out there. I’m sure you’ll find the answers you’re after in very short order. ✌🏼
Ha, I’m headed to Portugal next week. Am confused about why someone who’s not a travel vlogger or „influencer” should care about producing „content” though.
Thanks for the comment, Carrie. Some people, and I know several - just like making travel videos. It's mostly for themselves or friends. Consider it like how in the 70s people would come over to watch a slide show of someone's travel photos (I'm old enough to remember this). It's more common than you think (the videos, not the slide shows any longer).

Great footage and advice! But I think the moral of this story is: never go on holiday with a photographer/filmmaker.
