I went to this lash place for awhile loved them so much so one day they asked if I wanted my brows done & hers looked great so I’m like okay why not. Tell me why this girl basically left me with one brow didn’t say anything & because she tinted them I walked out thinking they were so nice. . Let’s skip to night when I go to wash my face yah that’s when I realized she legit waxed off my whole brow!! I had to learn to do my brows until I could go get them micro bladed I legit sat in the bathroom & just cried for an hour.

I swear I wish I could wake up and be Nikki. She is absolutely gorgeous inside and out and I love the way she talks. I adore her Latina side. Looks are not everything but she really inspires me to be healthier and take better care of myself and take pride in myself to be a BOSS lady. I'm 35 now been with my fiance 5 years and got two kiddos between us. I don't have girl friends anymore and listening to her story times kinda fills that girl time hole for me. I'm a lash tech and the snoring is so normal haha I love it when my clients fall asleep because it lets me know that they're comfortable and it makes the appointment go quicker. Also, the only time I've messed up with a client was because my mind blanked and I completely forgot I was mid booking a client but gave my phone to be fixed. When I got it back and realized she had sent the deposit and I didn't think to check if she had and I missed the appointment, I was so anxious and apologetic. Immediately refunded her $15 more than the deposit for wasting her time and asked if she wanted to reschedule with a discount on the appointment. Thankfully she was so understanding but I still feel terrible thinking about it. Every small business owner should own up to their mistakes and they'll have returning customers instead of one time clients.

Well I had this one girl wax my eyebrows for prom… I have thick eyebrows and I love them…. I was left with 2 hairs on each… and then she went ahead and then told me it was how my eyebrows were shaped and I had to draw them in… the way my mom told her… took my literal 5 years to grow them back. It was awful!
100% as a business owner and an esthetician I can’t agree with you more. If I am ever late for a client usually due to another client being late before ( the snowball affect) I always always discount or throw in a free brow wax and tint for their time.

I remember my brow lady did one eyebrow skinnier than the other and my mom kept telling me you couldn't notice. I knew she was lying but she had me convinced. 😂 She had me convinced until my brother took one look at me once I got home and said, "😳 what's wrong with your eyebrows??" 😂😂😂 I was mortified. LOL.
As a service provider myself (an esthetician) I get secondhand embarrassment every time I see someone say they’ve had horrible experiences with people 😭 it’s frustrating to see how people treat their clients! Not everyone needs to run a business & I stand on that.
I used to work at a hair salon and it's the same salon I go to now years after, they never ask for deposit and I've never had a bad service, i know the owner and when shes not there she tells me who will be there and i just get my hair done by someone else. I go to the same lady for my eyebrows that I've been going to since I was 15, I'm 31 lol she always let's me know when she's going on vacation so I can go before she leaves and when she's not there I don't get them done because I don't trust anyone else makes me sad thinking one day she might retire and I won't have anyone to do them and as far as my nails I do stick on ones at home 😂
No one ever talks about how you’ll be charged a late fee for showing up 10 minutes late, but they will have you waiting 30 minutes while they finish up another client. Like naw take that late fee off of my service since YOU were late. If my service is booked at 3, I should be in that chair at 3:05 at the latest.
Yeah, I had a dentist do that. They have the whole cancellation fee if you miss an appointment BUT they cancelled my day of appointment that I got time off for from my work. Then they try to schedule my appointment for the following day if their choice, like tf. I think they should be giving discounts for their inconveniences
Lol "De-chewbacca myself" I had an experience where I had to wait an hour to be serviced for my hair appointment and I was ten minutes early. Techs and stylists will have lateness fees and consequences for the clients, but it's funny (not really funny) how they don't apply the policies to themselves. I felt I had every right to request a discount - especially since I booked the appointment for a later time in the day, told I could come in earlier instead only to wait anyway - but I was worried that I would be seen as a difficult client. And despite how I felt, I tipped because I felt like it was expected from me speaking as someone who is being serviced and as someone who has curly/kinky, dense, long hair 🙃The service itself was great, but I don't like when people do not hold themselves to same standards they are demanding. And it is one of the biggest issues in the beauty industry.
This just pissed me off and it’s not even my situation. A hair stylist ruined my hair last year! And still wanted all her money after ruining my hair color and I had to go back and get the color fixed and she didn’t comp that price either. I’m so sick of these new stylists. Trash and can’t even do the full job to be charging so much.
That's my sister!!! She is a cleptomaniac to her heart! She just can't help it...if she sees something she wants she would just take it...and would have a pocket full of money! One day me her and our mom is shopping at this Dillard's Wearhouse and we found these really cute black and white sundresses they were the same color same size and everything but mine was marked cheaper than hers by quite a bit! So she said she would have them change the price at the registrer...on the way up to get checked out I see this really cute purse that matched the dress to a tee! (it's like right next to the checkout stand) I show it to her...we both say it was way too much for our pockets so I sat it back on the shelf. Ok so we get up there and explain the price situmation to the ladies but they wouldn't change the price and they wouldn't budge! So she says f---it and says she doesn't want it...I told her she knows she could borrow my dress any time she wants...well she checks out and storms out of the store...my mom and I check out and when we get into the car gurl she's in car taking the paper out of the purse the same purse I had just showed her in the store!!! I was standing right next to her and didn't even see her take it!!! After that day I never go shopping with anymore..she will never have me arrested as an accomplishment!!! Sorry it was sooo long!🫤 I absolutely love your storytime...thanks for giving me something to listen to and laugh with while cooking my dinner!😉
As a nail artist, this is exactly why I stopped doing the whole terms of condition BS. It turns away clients and it scares them and honestly it’s unprofessional because most the time the tech is running behind. I believe everybody’s human. I always give my clients 30 minute grace.
Literally the same thing happened to me but with my hair I was so upset I haven’t had my hair done in months since then and I’m practicing learning how to do my own these new hair,nail,and lash girlies be trippin 😭

She should have cancelled the appointment, gave you your deposit back & gave u the option to go with the other girl or completely cancel. Because people working in the service industry also get sick, also have kids who get sick, etc. so it sucks but we also a few times a year end up having emergencies where we absolutely have to call out. I have been going years being a barber & never had to call out & cancel all my appointments but I know others who have bc we don’t want to get our clients sick. The amount of no shows we get is crazy & obviously we don’t get paid hourly so we just don’t get paid that day or that hour. When a client is late that makes us run late to the next clients appointment so people being on time is important as to not mess up other clients times. However I agree, even with last minute cancellations I am not trying to charge full price bc man.. i know that sucks for the client. However no-shows on both parts is extremely disrespectful. I would have never came back after the tipping to the front desk lady 😂 P.S. you should have given Alisha’s name to the girl. She lost her job & probably had to pay out of her pocket for that merchandise.
Hey girl I’m so proud of your barbering career and I know you go through your fair share of clients playing in your face. Please don’t misunderstand. This video is not meant to downplay your plight in the industry but instead to shine a light on on the compassion and consideration we need to have for EACHOTHER. I’ve never in the history of ever seen a repercussion paragraph for the person providing the service and I feel that is completely one sided. All I’m asking is for reciprocity. The stealing was not my responsibility and I would hope you would take my age at the time of the incident into consideration. Some of my Glamazons see me now and forget that often times my stories are from when I was an adolescent. I didn’t have a frontal lobe that was fully developed so shoulda, coulda, woulda is completely out the window unfortunately. I did what I did and she didn’t lose her job but she did lose merchandise and money however I wasn’t there for the theft nor was I was aware that they were planning on it so I had no sense of accountability for that situation unfortunately. I completely agree that if she expects professionalism from her clientele she should also be professional. A bad review and not giving them your business is a good response/repercussion. I was only explaining why certain things are important boundaries for the person providing the service to have set as it not only protects us but the client as well. I don’t do services that cater to women and are pricier so I don’t have long paragraphs or take deposits. Now I see others who do & I am happy for them because now we have boundaries. Unfortunately for years our industries didn’t have that. For years we had “the customer is always right” for years people in this industry missed out on money with no shows, late cancellations and when 1 mistake was done their reputation was ruined. Although we give chance after chance to every other business (big name companies) but are quick to mess with the reputation of the small businesses. It’s important to find someone who fits you, just like we find the clientele we are comfortable serving. I think the repercussions paragraph is what I’m in disagreement with. I think it tends to also be one sided that I am more likely to experience verbal abuse but not the client. My reputation can be ruined and my livelihood compromised but not the clients when they do me wrong. So I think it’s fitting that boundaries are set with a booking policy. Basically the booking policy is to protect oneself from those type of clients who tend to be abusive both literally verbally or even physically abusive at times and from those who abuse service providers time. However this policy shouldn’t affect our good & loyal clients & that’s why I say the communication is important to have. Yeah you were young and I understand as we have all made bad decisions even as we get older. Sorry if that came off judgy.

Of this reminds me of my bad lash appointment. It was NYE a few years ago, I go in, the girl is like ‘hi yea, won’t be long. I’m just finishing up.’ Ok no problem. So I wait. 30 mins go by, an hour. I would have left but I really needed them done for that night. She comes back and told me ‘sorry it’s taking a bit longer than expected. I’m nearly done.’ I mean, fine, and I was a proper people pleaser, very bad at conflict. So I wait two hourssss in total and I feel like a mug. She comes back and finally is ready. She laughs and is like ‘sorry about that, I had a walk in and couldn’t say no.’ Tf? So she starts to do my lashes. A guy comes in and she goes ‘oh one sec, I just got to do his eyebrows real quick.’ So midway through she just leaves and waxes his brows. At this point, I waited hours and was midway through, I’m too invested. So I just take it. Yea and I still paid the total, I wasn’t confident enough to challenge it. Yea I didn’t come back. Honestly, that was a big turning point for me to stop taking shit from people. Again, if it wasn’t NYE I would have walked out but yea, I was in there near enough four and a half hours by the time she was done. So like Nikki, I now do my lashes at home. Don’t be like me and let people walk all over you. ❤ And Nikki, thank you so much because legit, I’ve watched your vids for years and you have been a huge part of me gaining the confidence to stand up for myself. I used to work at a hair salon and it's the same salon I go to now years after, they never ask for deposit and I've never had a bad service, i know the owner and when shes not there she tells me who will be there and i just get my hair done by someone else. I go to the same lady for my eyebrows that I've been going to since I was 15, I'm 31 lol she always let's me know when she's going on vacation so I can go before she leaves and when she's not there I don't get them done because I don't trust anyone else makes me sad thinking one day she might retire and I won't have anyone to do them and as far as my nails I do stick on ones at home 😂

No one ever talks about how you’ll be charged a late fee for showing up 10 minutes late, but they will have you waiting 30 minutes while they finish up another client.

Yeah, I had a dentist do that. They have the whole cancellation fee if you miss an appointment BUT they cancelled my day of appointment that I got time off for from my work. Then they try to schedule my appointment for the following day if their choice, like tf. I think they should be giving discounts for their inconveniences

Lol "De-chewbacca myself" I had an experience where I had to wait an hour to be serviced for my hair appointment and I was ten minutes early. Techs and stylists will have lateness fees and consequences for the clients, but it's funny (not really funny) how they don't apply the policies to themselves. I felt I had every right to request a discount - especially since I booked the appointment for a later time in the day, told I could come in earlier instead only to wait anyway - but I was worried that I would be seen as a difficult client. And despite how I felt, I tipped because I felt like it was expected from me speaking as someone who is being serviced and as someone who has curly/kinky, dense, long hair 🙃The service itself was great, but I don't like when people do not hold themselves to same standards they are demanding. And it is one of the biggest issues in the beauty industry.
This just pissed me off and it’s not even my situation. A hair stylist ruined my hair last year! And still wanted all her money after ruining my hair color and I had to go back and get the color fixed and she didn’t comp that price either. I’m so sick of these new stylists. Trash and can’t even do the full job to be charging so much.

That's my sister!!! She is a cleptomaniac to her heart! She just can't help it...if she sees something she wants she would just take it...and would have a pocket full of money! One day me her and our mom is shopping at this Dillard's Wearhouse and we found these really cute black and white sundresses they were the same color same size and everything but mine was marked cheaper than hers by quite a bit! So she said she would have them change the price at the registrer...on the way up to get checked out I see this really cute purse that matched the dress to a tee! (it's like right next to the checkout stand) I show it to her...we both say it was way too much for our pockets so I sat it back on the shelf. Ok so we get up there and explain the price situmation to the ladies but they wouldn't change the price and they wouldn't budge! So she says f---it and says she doesn't want it...I told her she knows she could borrow my dress any time she wants...well she checks out and storms out of the store...my mom and I check out and when we get into the car gurl she's in car taking the paper out of the purse the same purse I had just showed her in the store!!! I was standing right next to her and didn't even see her take it!!! After that day I never go shopping with anymore..she will never have me arrested as an accomplishment!!! Sorry it was sooo long!🫤 I absolutely love your storytime...thanks for giving me something to listen to and laugh with while cooking my dinner!😉

As a nail artist, this is exactly why I stopped doing the whole terms of condition BS. It turns away clients and it scares them and honestly it’s unprofessional because most the time the tech is running behind. I believe everybody’s human. I always give my clients 30 minute grace.

She should have cancelled the appointment, gave you your deposit back & gave u the option to go with the other girl or completely cancel. Because people working in the service industry also get sick, also have kids who get sick, etc. so it sucks but we also a few times a year end up having emergencies where we absolutely have to call out. I have been going years being a barber & never had to call out & cancel all my appointments but I know others who have bc we don’t want to get our clients sick. The amount of no shows we get is crazy & obviously we don’t get paid hourly so we just don’t get paid that day or that hour. When a client is late that makes us run late to the next clients appointment so people being on time is important as to not mess up other clients times. However I agree, even with last minute cancellations I am not trying to charge full price bc man.. i know that sucks for the client. However no-shows on both parts is extremely disrespectful.

Hey girl I’m so proud of your barbering career and I know you go through your fair share of clients playing in your face. Please don’t misunderstand. This video is not meant to downplay your plight in the industry but instead to shine a light on on the compassion and consideration we need to have for EACHOTHER. I’ve never in the history of ever seen a repercussion paragraph for the person providing the service and I feel that is completely one sided. All I’m asking is for reciprocity. The stealing was not my responsibility and I would hope you would take my age at the time of the incident into consideration. Some of my Glamazons see me now and forget that often times my stories are from when I was an adolescent. I didn’t have a frontal lobe that was fully developed so shoulda, coulda, woulda is completely out the window unfortunately. I did what I did and she didn’t lose her job but she did lose merchandise and money however I wasn’t there for the theft nor was I was aware that they were planning on it so I had no sense of accountability for that situation unfortunately. Im sorry.

I completely agree that if she expects professionalism from her clientele she should also be professional. A bad review and not giving them your business is a good response/repercussion. I was only explaining why certain things are important boundaries for the person providing the service to have set as it not only protects us but the client as well. I don’t do services that cater to women and are pricier so I don’t have long paragraphs or take deposits. Now I see others who do & I am happy for them because now we have boundaries. Unfortunately for years our industries didn’t have that. For years we had “the customer is always right” for years people in this industry missed out on money with no shows, late cancellations and when 1 mistake was done their reputation was ruined. Although we give chance after chance to every other business (big name companies) but are quick to mess with the reputation of the small businesses. It’s important to find someone who fits you, just like we find the clientele we are comfortable serving.
I think the repercussions paragraph is what I’m in disagreement with. I think it tends to also be one sided that I am more likely to experience verbal abuse but not the client. My reputation can be ruined and my livelihood compromised but not the clients when they do me wrong. So I think it’s fitting that boundaries are set with a booking policy. Basically the booking policy is to protect oneself from those type of clients who tend to be abusive both literally verbally or even physically abusive at times and from those who abuse service providers time. However this policy shouldn’t affect our good & loyal clients & that’s why I say the communication is important to have.

Of this reminds me of my bad lash appointment. It was NYE a few years ago, I go in, the girl is like ‘hi yea, won’t be long. I’m just finishing up.’ Ok no problem. So I wait. 30 mins go by, an hour. I would have left but I really needed them done for that night. She comes back and told me ‘sorry it’s taking a bit longer than expected. I’m nearly done.’ I mean, fine, and I was a proper people pleaser, very bad at conflict. So I wait two hourssss in total and I feel like a mug. She comes back and finally is ready. She laughs and is like ‘sorry about that, I had a walk in and couldn’t say no.’ Tf?
So she starts to do my lashes. A guy comes in and she goes ‘oh one sec, I just got to do his eyebrows real quick.’ So midway through she just leaves and waxes his brows. At this point, I waited hours and was midway through, I’m too invested. So I just take it. Yea and I still paid the total, I wasn’t confident enough to challenge it.
Yea I didn’t come back. Honestly, that was a big turning point for me to stop taking shit from people. Again, if it wasn’t NYE I would have walked out but yea, I was in there near enough four and a half hours by the time she was done. So like Nikki, I now do my lashes at home. Don’t be like me and let people walk all over you. ❤
