My Ford Transit Connect Micro Camper Build and Tour

- This is a van build that I completed late 2021. It is based on the Ford Connect (2016 with 56,000km. I was able to fit a lot of features that usually don't exist in a van this size. It has 100L/20Gal water storage, shower, toilet, sink, hot water, fridge, automatic bed, 600w inverter, battery isolator, shore power, 200w Renogy solar system, aftermarket stereo and sub/amp that can be utilized with the vehicle off, heavy duty roof rack, class 3 receiver for a rear mounted motorcycle, dimming lights and neon mood lights. This van is best suited for someone 5'10" or smaller. Reach out with any questions as it is new and for sale.

Thanks Mike, it was a fairly difficult build mainly do to the lack of space. I really wish I could have had a cook top but I guess that's just how she goes. Cheers!

@@-Ryans Its upholstered with a small drop down decorative portion. I sacrificed about a 1/2 inch of room but it also made for a nice interior feel that I prefer over a boring higher roof ;)
Genius! This is the best van conversion I have seen. Those vans get 25 - 29mpg and just genius work you did on that van.

This is awesome ! One of my favorite and most useful builds I have seen ! I am considering downsizing for a couple years to pay off debt and build my business. Really hard decisions but I want to be successful and have more adventures at the same time. I want to be able to enjoy life the way we should

Awesome Job! I bought a DIY off-road camper with a unfinished interior. We ended up making something to get by, but I think I want to make it look like this inside. This has given me some good ideas about retooling it, so I appreciate that.

In my camper van I have a pee bottle and plastic bags. Cheaper and takes up so little space where space is at a premium.

Great build, and I'm so glad someone else uses a cassette toilet and says it doesn't stink! I use one because my van is just for trips, and it's so easy to take care of. You are right - if you use the proper additive, it doesn't smell at all. I often wonder what those people are doing that claim they smell. They sure aren't maintaining it properly... Maybe if I was full time, I would feel differently. But if you aren't living in your van, can you imagine having to clean a composting toilet every time you just take the van out for a weekend, because you sure couldn't leave it while the van is parked for a few weeks! I just dump the cassette in my toilet when I return home - easy peasy!

This is brilliant. I have this van, for transporting miniature therapy horses. I cannot imagine living in it, lol. Mine has the safety grille.
what a great video and build. the ambiance is remarkable. it gave a really cool idea for the camper im building in the future.
it would be really cool if you make a video how you would tow a motorcycle if you are going to use anything else than a trailer.
So a raw diet with no coffee 😩 no warm leftovers 😭 no hot chocolate 🍫 it’s great job! just not as cool without a microwave and stove burner at the least.
That is all possible but your heat source just has to be portable. I really really wanted a fixed heat source but there was no room left unfortunately. You could likely ditch the cassette toilet and that would solve that issue. 🤔

Awesome build. Super clean and well thought out. Only thing I would have done differently is the bed change. Seems like a waste of limited battery power when gravity would take care of it on the way down, and a simple hand movement in the other direction. But, if you're not worried about it, it's all good.
I tried to do it without the actuator but I couldn't pull it out without it hitting my legs. Hard to explain but it seemed like the best solution. Thanks!

Super cool build, that shower blew my mind. Style and finish are 11/10 you're some kind of wizard. I'd just make 3 changes, that slow ass/loud ass bed killed me bro lol, especially since you have to get up (easy fix). Swap the fridge and the toilet (pullout into doorway). Counter space is critical, and it looks like you sacrificed a lot of it to fit that fridge, the swap should also add 2" to the walkway ratio. That overhead speaker has to move bro, I'd like to save my headbutts for the soccer field. Much love, looks as good as any sprinter.
