This portion of my journey is spent in Northern Ireland. Covid had just picked up so I was forced to find a place to camp out for several months. It is time to leave Australia and start the journey towards my Van which is parked in Northern Ireland. Covid was starting to flare up and travel restrictions were beginning. Luckily none of the areas I planned to visit were facing major issues yet. Sri Lanka, Greece, Germany, Denmark and Sweden are the stops.

After recently returning to Canada (November 2019) from the UK and spending a short time back in my home town of Redcliff, I decide to head towards Australia. I made sure to visit the countries of Fiji and Vanuatu before traveling Australia's East coast. I planned to return to the van (stored in Northern Ireland) some time in March, 2020.

Here is a short teaser for the 5 upcoming "Escaping the Box" episodes. Fiji, Vanuatu, Australia, Sri Lanka, Greece, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, UK, Ireland and Canada were the countries I visited for this half of the trip.

This trail is part of the Kamloops Bike Ranch system. It is their Pro-Line flow trail. It took me a few days to dial in the right speed to hit all the features properly. Once I did I was able to link the entire trail for a top to bottom run. This is one of my fav trails of all time. Bike is a Kona Process 153CRDL.

What can I say? The UK in Autumn was mind blowing. I started in England then Wales, Scotland and ending in Northern Ireland. This footage was from October/November 2019.

Back to business in central Europe. Heavy focus on flying with some new friends as well as a little extra road tripping. I visited Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Austria, Lichtenstein and mainly Switzerland.

This was a flight that I made to Northern Ireland's Giant's Causeway. Covered around 80km total. Luckily there were no tourists below due to the Covid Lockdown. Permission was even given by the police :)

This adventure starts in Macedonia. I eventually meet up with Marko for some riding through Montenegro. After some border issues I start moving north towards Slovenia and scoop up my partner Jalayna to explore more of the EU.

The next edit is complete. Here we are picking up just after Switzerland. This stretch was the most stressful for me. The language barriers were more apparent, road quality was down and I was alone about 90% of the time. This portion (to me) was a real adventure. I learned that sock tape works extremely well to stop serious bleeding.
