Pat, I love your Pressed Flowers quilt! I know you don’t care much for purple but it is my favorite color! Can’t wait to see it all together! This was a fun video. Love your spontaneity!
The red daisy with the navy background the border, it is stunning and unusual. Can’t wait to see the eclipse fabric, you may need to make a note about the 2024 eclipse on the quilt label, I hear there won’t be another one until over 300 more years! Happy Easter greetings.
I think once you get to 110K subscribers you should give away the secret life of colors to 1 lucky person. I know we would all LOVE to have it. I think the red and white floral border would be lovely on the diagonal quilt.
Thanks for being so open about your medical journey… I’m in hospital (major surgery) and you’ve encouraged me with your attitude and remind me that “this to shall pass” and I’ll be better back to sewing soon! Your sew funny… 😅 I too love it when I get a box from my bestie Kimberly Jolly at my local quilt shop - 4 states away lol I live very very remote area and have found FQ shop to be a great resource for my sewing needs & wants 🎉
Pat I’m so happy you are going to make the Eclipse quilt, because I also ordered the pattern, I took your advice of using ombré fabrics, just waiting for my order right now. I’ll get to follow you with your great tips and recommendations! 🤗🤗🤗
Too funny! I was trying to figure out why I had a certain piece of material. I do not know why I bought it but it is for something, I bought it from the Fat Quarter shop and when I order on line it is always for a project!!! LOL I set it aside til it comes to me.
Looking forward to when the Pressed Flowers will be released - I have enjoyed sewing this BOM. Thanks for the Solar Eclipse Pattern - I bought it for my Hubby who loves attempting Astro-Photography. Border choice: Red and Navy, or Blue and white. Hope you have healed well, when the stitches come out.
For your block a day quilt I like the lighter blue inner border with the red and blue flowers for the outer border. Loving all your videos. They bring me so much inspiration and joy!
I’m so happy that you are keeping the Secret Lives of Color quilt. I love it so much!! I bought the book and have the pattern but just haven’t started it yet, (too many other projects). I think that is such a unique quilt.
For your Toffee Bars quilt I’d pick the blue floral for the border. That would carry the blue from the center blocks to the edge of the quilt. I think there is already enough red in the blocks (the side rectangles).
Really like the Eclipse Quilt pattern. So many quilt patterns that I do like!! Secret Life of Colors quilt is still a favorite. Great visit today, I'm running late again. Look forward to see what you're doing everyday; see you online next week😊😊
The Pressed Flowers quilt is going to be beautiful! Just want to say, you're definitely not alone in buying fabric and forgetting whether or not it was for a project, or which project you'd earmarked it for! That got a little out of control with me, so I created a spreadsheet. Every time I purchase fabric it goes on the spreadsheet, with a column for what project it's for - so all fabrics for all projects (or my ever-growing stash) are listed together. Have a wonderful weekend, and thanks so much for a fun start to every day. What you do and how you do it takes an enormous amount of work and organization, and it's truly appreciated.
Hi Pat, so glad that you figured out what the frabic was for. Your quilt looks good. The pressed flowers are awesome. I hope you and Mr Greg have a good weekend. Thanks for sharing
The Pressed Flowers quilt is so pretty, look forward to seeing its completion. I haven’t seen the Secret Lives of color, but I love the chunky churn dash scrappy quilt. I will look for this book. Hope you have a good weekend and Happy Easter 🐣
Like so many, I’m so glad you’re not giving away to charity the Secret Lives of Colour. The recipient wouldn’t have realized the story behind the quilt and quilts with stories are the best. Use it as a ‘goal’ giveaway for your site, we all know the story and even have the book! Or gift it to the Virginia Quilt Museum to use when they do Colour Study displays. It’s a very interesting quilt Pat.
I like the red and white flowers for the block a day quilt borders. I know you Pat, that’s the one you are leaning towards too 😂. I really loved doing that quilt and will make more in the future.
Hi Pat, everything is spectacular, loving the navy/ flowers & navy which of course is my favourite colour to use in quilting and my personal fashion. Thanks for sharing with us. 👍❤️🙂
Since my favorite color is blue, I would use the blues. If I was channeling you, I would use the red!! You are so patient. It is your decision what quilts you keep or donate. I do not understand that people think they can question your decision! Jeez, people! I love your positivity and smile. Happy Easter to your and your hubby.🐣🌷
Hi Pat! Thank you so much for sharing your “Toffee Bars quilt “ it’s so much fun! I decided to do two borders on mine. Because of the fabric design. Inner border has butterflies it will measure 3” and outer border is 6” finished. Which has bicycles on the fabric. I’m going to love it! 😊
Not quilts, but coffee cups get out of hand for us. Given ones, purchased ones for special occasions and trips … we started weeding them out last week. I set my foot down against getting rid of some of them. 😊
I received a box from FQS yesterday. It included the Fleshy Pink Aurifil thread you recommended as a good color for quilting. I will definitely be using that. Regarding border fabric: I’m concerned that when a dark red or dark blue is sewn next to a similarly colored circle in the background fabric, you’ll get a perforated stamp look when you view the quilt from a distance. Since it’s sometimes hard to tell colors on my iPad screen, I can’t be sure how closely the colors match. I just wanted to mention that because I’ve seen you switch blocks before when matching colors on adjacent blocks blended together.
Pat, excited that you kept secret lives of color. I was sad but understood your reasoning of letting it go. I like the red and blue flowers with the lighter blue for borders. It has been fun watching, and love that you keep it real. I wanted to do the March 2024 block a day, but I am still working on 2023 March block. As you have said, you have to choose which quilts you work on based on your commitments. Happy Easter
Love, love, love the red and navy border option, this fabric is gorgeous! Hope you get some time off with family and friends on Easter. I always feel a little bit concerned when you take so much upon you. Hope your biopsy is fine, being ill and handling physical issues takes so much out of a person. Be well. 🌺
I have a bandaid on my nose too bcc….im supposed to have a mohs surgery, its so very distracting to me to have this disorder… did you bcc come back? Im going to request…lol they hopefully will recommend the flourouracil cream. Thank you for sharing how well youre staying focused on quilting, hopefully my mohs wont be extensive. I love your videos and your quilts are beautiful! Your fabric choices left me in awe, so pretty that I could not choose
Love when you match the quilt on your design wall! I'm also happy you decided to keep the secret lives of color quilt. Maybe you can have a raffle on RUclips for your subscribers?!? Happy Easter weekend Pat and Greg!!!🐰
I made your carrot table runner this month 😊. It isn't quilted yet, but will be soon and I will use it as a wall hanging. I appliqued a bunny and some eggs in the center. So cute!
Weather has been weird here in the desert southwest for this time of year. 2-3 days of nice weather then rain for a day or so. We have high chance of rain for Easter Sunday and Monday. We desperately need rain and it helps put off the eventual high summer heat. I am thinking of making a small wall hanging using some of the pressed flower blocks. There is a spot on my living room wall that needs something new.
Glad you figured out your fabric purchases. I come across things I've done and rack my brain trying to remember what was this, what was I doing? How is this former me???
I am glad you figured out what those pieces of fabric went with. Been there, done that. It drove me crazy til I remembered. The Pressed Flowers quilt is going to be stunning. Sorry, but I can't choose an outer border for the Block a Day without seeing the options against the quilt. The choices are all pretty but I need to see how they are with the rest of it.
I love flatter, the BPress bother me and once I used Flatter, I found it worked! I like your purple quilt. Very pretty and I’m a Red or blue person, but that is striking.
Pat - when you buy additional yardage to go with precuts, how much do you purchase? Are you buying for a specific pattern or just a few yards? Also, I gave up ,y Secret Lives as well - loved that project, but if you have a great charity (for me it’s Project Linus), it’s easier to give them up. I often find if I keep them a little while then I’m ready to release them to the wild!
Good morning. When you order precuts and yardage to coordinate, on average, how much yardage do you buy? Do you have a pattern in mind to use or just buy a certain amount?
Do you have time constraints for your show? It seems like you hurry. I enjoy watching and learning from you. Especially when choosing fabrics to be together.

I have to confess I am so happy you kept the secret lives of color. That was such a fun book and quilt to make.
I agree it was so unique!
I agree.
I loved making mine! It was special and I learned so much
Sew glad you’re keeping the Secret Lives of Color.
Pat, I love your Pressed Flowers quilt! I know you don’t care much for purple but it is my favorite color! Can’t wait to see it all together! This was a fun video. Love your spontaneity!

I am so glad your keeping the secret lives of color quilt!!!
You look fabulous in purple, Pat! Happy Easter, and thanks for all you do and share with us out here!!
Thank you! You too!
Pat, you always make me smile. :D I truly love your videos. Thank you!
I will drive up from Tennessee and put the binding on the Secret Lives of Color! I'm so glad you are keeping it!
I had that thought to…. Only I’m from Oregon and decided it wouldn’t be feasible 🙃
I would be happy to bind too (love that task) but live in CA and not going east anytime soon. 🙃
The red daisy with the navy background the border, it is stunning and unusual. Can’t wait to see the eclipse fabric, you may need to make a note about the 2024 eclipse on the quilt label, I hear there won’t be another one until over 300 more years! Happy Easter greetings.
Navy with red and white gets my vote
I think once you get to 110K subscribers you should give away the secret life of colors to 1 lucky person. I know we would all LOVE to have it. I think the red and white floral border would be lovely on the diagonal quilt.

love your quilt designs Pat .Look forward tp seeing more
Thank you so much for joining me!
Use the "Red and Navy" for the border of the Block a day.
Too funny! I was trying to figure out why I had a certain piece of material. I do not know why I bought it but it is for something, I bought it from the Fat Quarter shop and when I order on line it is always for a project!!! LOL I set it aside til it comes to me.
I like the red and navy border.
I hope you have a happy Easter weekend🐰
I would go for navy and red. Love the way this has turned out with that polka dot setting.
I’m partial to the floral blue and red for the border. (It’s the one I bought as sooon as I saw it.)
Have a happy Easter Pat.
Fun day..love opening fun mail
Happy Easter ❤
Good morning Pat, Happy Easter to you, and Gregg.🎉🎉
Love the pressed flowers quilt !
Red and Navy border and lighter blue for inner border!
Happy Easter, Pat. Great video today.

Yes, Yes, YES!!! Navy and Red outer border. Dark blue binding. Chef's kiss!!!!
Red and white is my favorite! ❤ Love your joy and exuberance!
I’m so happy that you are keeping the Secret Lives of Color quilt. I love it so much!! I bought the book and have the pattern but just haven’t started it yet, (too many other projects). I think that is such a unique quilt.
You are so charming, Miss Pat! Love your flowers, the colors are so, so pretty. Love the Purples. Lots of info! Have a blessed Easter.
Linter blue and the red and white.
Happy Easter 🐇
I think the lighter blue with the Red/Navy border, since there is a lot of white with the polkadots.
For your Toffee Bars quilt I’d pick the blue floral for the border. That would carry the blue from the center blocks to the edge of the quilt. I think there is already enough red in the blocks (the side rectangles).
That color purple looks so good on you. Love the pressed flower squares
Really like the Eclipse Quilt pattern. So many quilt patterns that I do like!! Secret Life of Colors quilt is still a favorite. Great visit today, I'm running late again. Look forward to see what you're doing everyday; see you online next week😊😊

Yay! Secret Lives of Color stays!
The Pressed Flowers quilt is so pretty, look forward to seeing its completion. I haven’t seen the Secret Lives of color, but I love the chunky churn dash scrappy quilt. I will look for this book. Hope you have a good weekend and Happy Easter 🐣
I like the blue flowers for your main border and yes the dark blue too.
That Pressed Flowers is just beautiful in your Sleepover fabric! Love it.
Pat, Love all the purple you are wearing today!❤ Love the red & navy print for the border. Anxious to see which you chose!
Like so many, I’m so glad you’re not giving away to charity the Secret Lives of Colour. The recipient wouldn’t have realized the story behind the quilt and quilts with stories are the best. Im glad you are keeping the secret lives of color. I purchased that book for my graphic design son and my 91 yr old dad who is a water color painter.
yes, Pat, i do buy even when not needed, just because I love it so!! You are not alone!🤗

Glad you saved the Secret Lives of Colors. I bought the book and loved it. This is on my list to do. Great to see it again!

Lighter blue and red and white
I love your purple top. You really suit that colour. Love the chat today.
Not quilts, but coffee cups get out of hand for us. Given ones, purchased ones for special occasions and trips … we started weeding them out last week. I set my foot down against getting rid of some of them. 😊
Your Pressed Flowers are the best, choice of green is splendid
I think I like the darker blue with the blue and white flowers.

So glad you didn’t give up the Secret Lives of Color.
Love the pressed flowers! Love the purple. Would look great in just about any color!
Pat, excited that you kept secret lives of color. I was sad but understood your reasoning of letting it go.

Darker inner border and blue and white florals for the big border . Also, I now need to find someone to make that owl cross stitch for me!
Red and white would be my choice

Love when you match the quilt on your design wall! I'm also happy you decided to keep the secret lives of color quilt. Maybe you can have a raffle on RUclips for your subscribers?!? Happy Easter weekend Pat and Greg!!!🐰
I made your carrot table runner this month 😊. It isn't quilted yet, but will be soon and I will use it as a wall hanging. I appliqued a bunny and some eggs in the center. So cute!
Love your fabrics in those pressed flower blocks!! They’re meant for each other.

u r so creative with making a pillow to match the quilt. Happy Easter c u next week
Love the pressed flowers!!
thx
Love how you explained how to choose "keeps" quilts Pat - I didn't get to do Drawing Room sew along is the pattern available Pat?
I like the coordinating pillow for the carrot table runner.
Wow love the dot fabric with your blocks.
Maybe those of us who didn't get the SLC quilt made but have the book, like me, would enjoy another QAL making this one?
The pattern is still available for you to make. Go get it at my completed project page
I love flatter, the BPress bother me and once I used Flatter, I found it worked! I like your purple quilt. Very pretty and I’m a Red or blue person, but that is striking.
Hi Pat, red and white for border
Piano key the three choices for the border

Thumbs up everyone!
I took off that day from work the eclipse. I ordered the pattern from FQS
Hi Pat could you show your sewing area layout? i have a small area also and having trouble placing my stuff
Good morning. When you order precuts and yardage to coordinate, on average, how much yardage do you buy? Do you have a pattern in mind to use or just buy a certain amount?
I love your Pressed Flowers blocks! I’d love to make this quilt but at $5 per block I can’t afford to spent $60 on a quilt pattern (12 blocks x $5). 🙁
❤❤❤
Do you have time constraints for your show? It seems like you hurry. I enjoy watching and learning from you. Especially when choosing fabrics to be together.
looking for the last pattern for pressed flower, when will that be available.
