Is There Any Hope Left For Stack Overflow In 2023?

- A lot of people have been questioning what the next step for Stack Overflow would be as AI technologies advanced. We've all used Stack Overflow in our darkest moments to fix our code when there seemed to be no more hope. But Stack Overflow was far from perfect, it was known for hosting a very toxic community who would shame both beginners and non-beginners for asking questions. Personally I rarely used Stack Overflow to ever ask any questions, but I always was happy to see it appear as the first result in a Google search.
But now the question still stands, what is the future of Stack Overflow?

What's really gonna kill stack overflow is the unfriendly community
yes, basic questions people have asked 90000 times gpt answers well. but try doing something even slightly complex and gpt starts tripping
Pretty much
Do you guys actively ask questions on Stack Overflow from scratch?
@@Indently highly doubt it. GPT all the way
1:12 i dont even ask for help anymore on their forum
Last time I asked was in in 2019, I think my question got removed ahah
@@Indently is like i had to think and construct my question for hours before posting
Yeah, these Stackoverflow guys is quite toxic!
Recently I finded something on stack overflow which chat gpt didn't helped me correctly
Great news guys: Stack Overflow will be there in the future for great help also for AI.
Actually thank you for the info and I have just invested and chipped in to it.
I'm neither for nor against stack overflow, but cool you found inspiration for a path to take :)
Here is a good project idea. Make a chatgpt bot that answers older stack overflow questions that were never answered.
It could be fun, but Stack Overflow banned the usage of ChatGPT on their website.
@@Indently can we use open-source models such as llama vicuna gpt4all to build chatgpt like prompt which will read stackoverflow to get discussion topic link and summarised text on the topic
You're using StackOverflow wrong. You should be googling your question and picking the first result from stackoverflow
Stackoverflow most proobably may be like Nokia.
Indestructable but used by no one anymore?
@@Indently How rude. My last smart phone was a Nokia*.
*It was neither indestructible nor a very good smartphone
@@Indently yes. Almost no one uses.
@@Indently yes, certainly
