Tilopa Mahasiddha

Tilopa is famous for promoting several different systems of Tantric practice such as Chakrasamvara and Vajrayogini. He is included in most of the systems of the Eighty-four Mahasiddhas, but not included in the Eight Great Siddha sets.

There is one explanation to the fish I heard:
Naropa was very intellectual minded and Tilopa as his teacher therefor taught him in a very unique style. In one situation he appeared as a beggar without Naropa knowing it was him when he met him frying a fish in a frying pan. Thinking or saying that this isn't acceptable Tilopa reacted by snipping his fingers and the fish jumped out of the frying pan alive into the river next to him and swam away, making Naropa becoming aware who he the beggar was and again him having these certain concepts in mind.

Naropa was surprised to hear that Tilopa was a fisherman but he immediately remembered that all his recent experiences had actually been manifestations of his guru, and he realized that if he had to meet his teacher in the form of a fisherman, it must be because of his impure mind. So without any doubt or hesitation, and with devotion and trust, he went down to the river to meet Tilopa. As he got closer, he could see Tilopa was transferring the consciousness of each fish to a pure realm with a snap of his fingers. Afterwards he would pick up each fish and bite off its head, discarding the head to one side, and placing the body to dry on the sand in preparation for taking it to market...
