I know they still have lots of cleaning to do and even more changes but I think I prefer the "original" closer that they previewed with. This last hit just lacks the power and wow-factor that the original had. Im a sucker for strong, clean, and precise hits but I have faith in bloo and know that this isnt even close to what will be preformed at finals.
Is it just me or did the backfield microphones for the ballad not work in this run? I was at the ATL regional, and the backfield hornline seemed a lot louder.
Comin' atcha 9 months after your comment. It was probably a showday, so high brass (mello/trumpet) wasn't playing during the ballad (except when they had exposed melody) so we could save our chops a bit for the show. The ballad has a lot of long, loud, & sometimes high sustains that tend to wear out lip muscles quickly.

MeganMango There used to be a different closer??
They changed it slightly, at 12:37 there wasn't a mellophone run and the low brass didn't do the "swing around" drill and stayed behind the pit.
I loved the original but the mello run really brings an end to it IMO
I'm still trying to figure out how they made the trumpets solos at the end sound like a guitar
Droman Lee thank you for explaining I was always thinking about how it worked every time I heard the her play
Why is there a marcher in the front just doing visuals and a little marching?
iGrind4Dayz he’s a stand in or a back up
YO, that contra who fell at 5:29 . I feel so bad

Thank you!!!
Who else was there
SnazzyT it was a bluecoats rehearsal before DCI Atlanta.
why is there a horn player on the sideline??
they're alternates
I think people have to do that if they miss days of practice. It's happened at other shows too
I know that in my HS marching band if someone misses two practices in a row then they're ineligible to perform the next game, no exceptions.
Khang Nguyen They were injured and are unable to march
54321blader wdym they were on tour how could they miss practice
Use the ramp for the last hit like the first one in the opener please!
