I have always admired the Alocasia plants, especially when they are growing not far away from various Cannas in warmer climates. Your care instructions for the Alocasia were quite interesting. I always assumed, in error, that they need full sun. I will share this information. (Bertha S.)
Some Alocassia like the Elephant ear can tolerate full sun and they thrive. But others like the ones I have get scorched. That's why best to find out the requirement of that particular Alocasia when purchasing.
