    I feed reef roids. I don't feed everyday but here and there as a treat I think can be beneficial. I think it's a great product and definitely see results in growth and color especially

    Love your videos, i feed all my SPS with cutup brine shrimp that is soaked in amino acids & vitamins. I easily cut up the brine smaller fast using scissors in a small cup, works great. Then shut down all pumps & use a bulb feeder 2 times a week, encourages growth 2 fold feeding them. 1/2 hr. later turn everything back on pumps, skimmer, etc. Even my Leptos feed well on this blend of small pcs.

    Il use Phyto mixed with zoo, micro blast and snow. We are using Continuum products only and our corals are growing fast. We feed the LPS, Soft and SPS with decapsulated brine shrimp eggs to, very cool to see.

    My chili pepper monti bleached and died. At the time my nutrients were a bit wonky but have since stabilized but it was too late for the monti Frag. I bought it from under metal halides and moved it to under a radion xr15pro. At first I thought it was the fluctuation of nitrates and phosphates but now I’m thinking it was light shock. It’s a learning experience I don’t want to kill another one.

    i spot feed all my SPS coral with zooplankton from brightwell aquatics. i've definitely noticed a huge growth spurt from a steady dose of spot feeding 2-3x/wk.

    I feed my Monti's Coral Frenzy that i mix with tank water and use a turkey baster to push the fine food into the current that naturally sweeps the polyps you can see them closing for a few seconds and popping right back up for more. every tanks different but you guys should try it

    i would suspect sps might like reefroids or some other tiny zooplanktons.
    rotifers maybe?
    meaty foods are probably way to big.
    would they mind phyto?
    i know that gorgs like phyto but i dunno about sps.

I'm curious about reef roids? I don't feed my corals at all.Id like to let them adapt to there lighting before I jump into feeding them just from what iv seen this can take time

    I have a bright green Montipora Spongodes coral I believe. I have a difficult time determining this species vs an anacropora. It is still a relatively small coral but it’s not developing the branching as much as I would expect for it to be an anacropora. Is this branching the only visual difference between these two coral? I would like to know what other ways these very similar looking corals actually differ. Thanks!

    • @tidalgardens
      @tidalgardens  5 лет назад +1

      The green colored Anacropora is quite a lot brighter than a spongodes, but the branching is also an easy way to tell.

    Than, I have a question; in some of the corals you can see holes with small filter feeders poking there feather like feeders out, what are these, and how do they get there? I have some in my chalice.

    Why can I not find fully grown coral photos? All I could find are frag photos. As a newcomer this is pretty annoying and makes it hard to have a vision.

      I know this post is 9 months old, but I've got M. undata, M. confusa, and a few colors of M. capricornus encrusting my bottom glass. Sometimes the whole colony gets freaked out when a hermit crab wanders across. They grow more flat across the glass than I expected; I wanted more mounding texture.

    жесткие кораллы должны быть только в природе в свободе в аквариуме только фотосинтетики, уродство из наросшего кальция (накипи в чайники) не очень привлекательное зрелище в замкнутом аквариумном пространстве
