- Behind the Scenes of the 2nd Hotrod Garage Day 2023 at Famoso Dragstrip in Bakersfield California.
This year it was by invitation only so a bunch of people showed up with awesome cars.
I roll raced AT in our land speed car vs my Chevelle. DF and MF battled it out a few times for an episode of RK.
Good times all around. Special thanks to Mark @gasratzcustoms for taking time out to tow my car up so that I could have some fun too.

Looks like GOOD TIMES ! Great show , great job ! 👍🇺🇸
Thanks 👍
As Lucky came down the stairs all I thought was, “ he has style, he has grace, his every car will beat you in a race.”
You live a good life my brother !
Thx for sharing...
I'd of loved street tires, no wheelie bars. Drive em. Detune if needed. To be clear all out like this is great as well. Many thanks for video
Thank you lucky c for the in car camera. Coulda watched that with all cars (had they done so) for hours.
Thanks for a fun day, Lucky!
Yes it was!
Watta hoot! Looks like everyone had great time. The ChevHell looked good as always and Frieburger's rod was impressive too. When I saw the wheels come up off the ground I knew it was going to be good. Thanks Lucky for taking the time to bring us along ✌
Right at the 22 minute mark " Buh-BYE".... 😂
Cool, dude! I always like "Behind The Scenes" vids. I'm always surprised by the size of the production crews that make all of the Motor Trend content. They certainly don't get enough credit for what they do! Thanks, Lucky! Your life looks like a blast! ✌️❤️🙂🇨🇦
Its a production but our team is awesome!
Much love from Guam/ Washington state 🤙🏾🇬🇺🇺🇸🍻
That was fun. The o'l Famoso onion fields. will never die. Thanks for sharing. Be well.
Cain't wait to see this one and the shows that lead up to it😁
It will be good!
Always a fun ride along 🎉
That was a fun few days! So many great people and good times! The Famoso Drag Strip was perfect!
That must of been a good day for all of you. Thx for taking the time to show it
I always figured that Lucky's house was awesome, but that staircase Dang. And watching that VW go down the track brought back some good memories of when my friends and I would go to the Bug-In's at the Late Great O.C.I.R.. Some would say it was a youth misspent. All I know is we had a lot of fun. And sadly some of those friends are no longer with us. 6=8.
I liked the variety of cars in a full quarter mile track, or it lest it photographed that way . one of the better content I have seen here.
The only guy that could get a job like this must be “lucky”!
Blasphemi Spoiler!!. Mike hasn't shown anything since the compression reset and rebuild. Looks like it's making power. Couldn't grip the cold?? track or a biggie backfire. Couldn't tell really. Sounded better later on. Thanks Lucky. Neat Roll Race/Drag Boat start with Alex. More of those!!, That's Cool!. Where is the Datsun Pickup??. Have BluePrint hook you up with one of the LS3 x 4-cylinder 3.4L. For a Project Blue Datsun truck build. Hey BluePrint!!, Lucky Needs a Motor!!. Right hand drive car in the left lane anywhere in the World,,,PURE TERROR!!,,all I'm gonna say. Neat Party. That will be a choice ticket in the future. Thanks for Sharing.
Keeping the dream alive! Niiiice‼️
Nice catch there at the end👍 Very cool to see the old & new crews hanging out and (not breaking?) stuff. Meanwhile somewhere in Pennsylvania...
Go HRG!
Love the show and what you and Alex do. Keep making good cars great!
10:03 I knew Daddy wouldn't be far behind...
Great job Lucky ! Happy holidays ! Might want to get some new rear tires ! Peace and Love brother !
Lucky, great video and love the '57 panel.I saw the '32 on HRG the other night and 125 mph should be an easy goal for you, hell I seen you do that in the Chevhelle in Mexico just going to get Tacos for lunch!!🤓
🎉🎉GREAT VIDEO LUCKY GOOD WAY TO START MY DAY THANKS FOR THAT HOPE YOU HAD A GREAT THANKSGIVING FROM US TO YALL
Thanks!!!
I read somewhere NASA tested the VW beetle shape for use as a lifting body. I think a heard at 95 the beetle in stock trim, would start to generated lift and at something near 150 would lift off the ground. Good reason to use arrow improvement to keep it on the ground
Haven't seen the General Maintenance in a while.
Living large in Bakersfield
You all sure look familiar ❤
Happy Thanksgiving Lucky to you and your Family
Thanks for all the Videos ❤
Happy holidays!
Coming down those stairs, Lucky should at least wear a t-shirt tuxedo.
That 66 Chevelle looks great and might be a good Cruiser ,
But as for going down the Strip .
My 66 Chevelle with a 71 small block LT1 350 making 375hp will out run it .
And what happen to the front spoiler ?
I'll take it if you don't want it !
👍
@@luckysgarageshow, at 10:37 !
That Blue 66 with the bright lights missing looks like Tyson punched it's lights out !
I been looking for a different trans for my 66 Malibu , it has a wide ratio Saginaw 4 speed and I want a
M-22 .
I got M-20 and M-21 Muncie but I always wanted a Rock Crusher
My other 66 Super Sport has a M-21 Muncie with 11 inch clutch, Lakewood Blow Proof bell housing ,600hp built small block 327 , 12 bolt posi , 13817 VIN
60 in a 1950s truck is like 100 in a Civic …. You start to feel like maybe you are right on the edge of making some kind of a mistake.
Now can you really call that work😂😂.
Such a great and talented builder, but I just can't see how u stand to live in Cali!
👊🏻🏁🇺🇸
No Steve Dulcich?
He was there!
I should subscribe to MT again…I’d know what’s going on
Come on, even trump had an escalator 😏
