Thanks for the kind words Kevin.
Man I’m glad “the old man” pointed us in your direction, I just watched a team z video on chassis tuning, I geek out on this stuff and don’t even have a car yet. I feel that I’ll be ready when the time comes for when I build one.
This is the moment we have all been waiting for 💪🏼
Trap House Racing thanks so much for your comments! Go fast, go straight! Be Safe!!
Im here from SRC Garage. AWESOME content Kevin!!! It will be so helpful for me as I am finishing up a build on a small tire 71 Nova conventional headed 632 nitrous engine stock suspension deal and I crew chief on a Blown alcohol 37 Chevrolet Top Sportsman car.
Have been wanting you to cover a no prep setup for quite some time, really looking forward to this
kevinnagle thanks so much for your comments! There is a bunch to cover in this series, so stay tuned! Excited to get this content public! Go fast, go straight! Be Safe!!
Welcome back you're back I'm back and I've been watching the street racing channel and street racing garage for a long time those guys are great
SRC sent me here. Subscribed!
That wonderful that your dad is doing better.. and very happy to see you back doing videos
Karey McGee thanks so much for your comments! Love every minute I get to spend with him. Go fast, go straight! Be Safe!!
Very interesting and Kevin does an outstanding job of taking his time explaining all the facets in getting to the fundamental basis so you can begin to understand what it all takes to set up a car to race in todays world of racing. Far different from when I raced in 1968. I relate to Kevin's father street racing in 1967-68 and NHRA racing rules. Fun to learn all this 50 years later! John Erwin
Man thanks a bunch Kevin!! There’s not many people I can listen to and be content, you’re a bit different and I like it. I chuckled when you corrected yourself on the bias pronunciation lol. Great video, I see why Bill shared it. I really enjoyed Bill’s channel too. I got a old G-body I’d like to back to the track and be competitive, suspension has never been my strong suit. Subscribed and keep up the good work!!
Don't forget SRC photo!!!
You're the best Kevin thanks for all the help probably save me a couple thousand dollars setting up my Z28
Didn't know about you dad, glad to hear your good news. Good to have you back

Thank you for this!! This is the type of info that most people won’t share without charging for it

I’m excited for this series. I think it’s gonna be a good one!
Been waiting for this 👍, thank you.
Great video Kevin. I needed to see the this.. headed to part 2
This is all perfect timing cause I’m starting the cage and engine placement in my regal and you’ve already answered a lot of questions I had
Great video!
Awesome video Kevin. You hit perfectly on all the key points, all stuff I have learned over the last couple of years from trial and error. Keep up the great work.
I will be building my back-half GTO with roots blower finally starting this fall. Your channel is full of very helpful information that is yet easy to understand, I have learned a lot and dismissed a few myths already that will help out a TON. Thanks for the videos and continued good health to you and your dad!
Already looking forward to the next one
Thank you Kevin For the passion and effort you have put into the videos - we appreciate you ! My father was ill and the outlook was bleak but he had a Miraculous turn around and is much better now all things considered. Wishing the same for your father … he has obviously done a fine job ;)
morning kevin. i came across your channel from old man bill/src channel. your first video in your series for no prep suspension was awesome. ill be tunin in from now on. you’re easy to listen to and lay things out in a very understandable way. thanks for getting involved. guys like you and src give newbies a place to start learning. right on!!
I'm very excited about this series! I subscribed to you a while ago when we started setting up my dad's 34 Ford pickup for No Prep racing just to glean as much information as I could and apply it to our program! We're running a very old-school setup; front buggy spring and friction shocks with a ladder bar and rear Viking double-adjustables. 35 front/65 rear weight bias. 871 roots-blown big block Mopar. I'll definitely be watching every video from start-to-finish to pick up any tip I can!
New subscriber, great videos with lots of great information and things to take into consideration for every car ! Thank you ! 🍻
This Video Series will be gold to me. You nailed it!!!! Thanks
Trying to run fast and safe with a 1300hp Top Sportsman in no prep airfields in Spain.
Hope we can learn a lot and try it at the track this weeks.
Thank you for share your wisdom with us
Absolute helpfully
Yes finally no prep. I saw billy mention you and i was like yep he is the suspension man
Randy Gibbs thanks so much for your comments! Go fast, go straight! Be Safe!!

speedracer 412 thanks so much for your comments! Go fast, go straight! Be Safe!!
Very intersting Kevin thanks, I've been watching SRC aswell
I've been hoping for you to do some video on this, I cant wait, I want to build a no prep car.
This series is going to be awesome. I'm putting a 3rd gen camaro together this winter for noprep and this along with your 3rs gen videos will really help me in the suspension area, that's where I'm really going to have to research to make sure I get it right.
Phil thanks so much for your comments! Go fast, go straight! Be Safe!!
Great. keep it up.
Love you bro...
Already waiting on #2
Kevin Thanks for doing this. It is just what i needed as I am currently building my truck and thinking of going ladder bar for no prep.
Mick Hirk thanks so much for your comments! Go fast, go straight! Be Safe!!
@@KevinWilsonSBC Would you recommend Ladder bar over leaf spring in a S10 truck?
@@mickhirk4734 We have run ladder bars with leaf springs very successfully, so you can mix it up. If I am going to leave leaf springs, I would go 4 Link with Coilovers. Just my $0.02. Go Fast, Go Straight! Be Safe!
Yeah Kevin I’ve been watching SRC for a couple or more years and SRC Garage since Bill started his channel and between Bills knowledge and the way he does everything and apply that to Billy’ and Tommy’s skills and they have one hell of a program period!!!! I’m right here in Summerville (Lincolnville) not far from your shop. I’d like to catch ya sometime when you aren’t busy. I wanna setup my 1990 box bed Sierra for no prep, back of the track.
captainwhiplash thanks for commenting. Go to samsonperformance.com and shoot me an email and I will respond. Go fast, go straight!
Man, this is a fucking fantastic idea here. I’ve been doing all I can think to find more information about ballast and suspension set ups over the last few months, and I can say with confidence if you don’t know what you’re looking for, you’re completely screwed. There isn’t very much information available to you if you’re not sure what questions to ask. So many questions… not the least of which is how can I become competitive without having a mid 5 sec race car? I’ve really been struggling with that one…
blockequals4 thanks so much for your comments! Stay tuned as we have a bunch to cover. Go fast, go straight! Be Safe!!
HATE the term 'Weight Transfer'. It's Load Transfer. Weight of the front/rear does not change. Great Job! Subscribed
Giving a shoutout to the SRC Family!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
kevinnagle thanks so much for your comments! Go fast, go straight! Be Safe!!
Compared to circle track asphalt racing this is a breeze dirt is even more difficult I’ve don all three dirt asphalt and drag. . Drag is ok for older guys like me not as much work .
First video I’ve watched. Came over from SRC garage. Love the video, but I’m curious. Are you a powerlifter?
not being a hater btw. as a powerlifter myself seeing a tricep that hangs like that shows a lot of work and likely a huge bench. again thanks for the video
pointmeby thanks so much for your comments! Used to compete in bench press and squat competitions. Now I am just too fat and need to lift again. LOL. Go fast, go straight! Be Safe!!
No prep easy setup lose frontend more suspension travel in the front less tire pressure on the rear been doing no prep for years the best thing to do is get your car too hook on a no prep track them you have a good start
do you think you could do an IRS version of these videos as alllot is diffrent :)
Bey Tek thanks so much for your comments! IRS video is out: ruclips.net/video/-iD5rg9YUL4/видео.html Go fast, go straight! Be Safe!!
What is weight bi-oss?
Where is your CG line after adding the blower ? How do you find it?
Dresden Speed thanks so much for your comments! It went up several inches. Checkout ruclips.net/video/T5XNxSmIjjc/видео.html for more info. 4 Corner scales will help pinpoint your CG. Go fast, go straight! Be Safe!!
How much anti squat? Shocks and springs about like the front?
jeepramz thanks for commenting. Go to samsonperformance.com and shoot me an email and I will respond. Go fast, go straight!
Power management? My right foot?
Your right foot is definitely the most critical part of power management, especially when it comes to you living to race again! Yeah.. power management through the hit and getting the rear to stick before pouring the coals to it is a big part of winning, especially back of the track stuff. Go fast, go straight! Be SAFE!!
@@KevinWilsonSBC transbrakes are often useless on a bad surface. People spend thousands on electronics to bring the power in slowly when all they need is to foot brake and apply throttle slowly.
@@skirkland1980 OK. Thanks! I do appreciate you commenting and I enjoy the interaction! Go fast, go straight! Be SAFE!!
I keep saying buy ossss lol
My mind and my words struggle to keep up at times!! LOL! Go fast, go straight! Be SAFE!!
@@KevinWilsonSBC lol hell yeah brother, I’ve been keeping my mind fresh on a new car setup with these videos, good job man
But have you been no prep racing?
90fox_twostep tony thanks so much for your comments! My no prep experience is on street. However, I have setup and tuned the chassis for easily 60+ no prep cars. Doesn't make me an expert, but I am upfront about it. Stay tuned, the 48 Ford will be on a no prep event soon, once I get the Studebaker going while I have my dad with me. Go fast, go straight! Be Safe!!
you grew up in the 70's ?? you look a guy in his 30's
Flattery will get you everything!! LOL. I am way past the 30’s. Go fast, go straight! Be SAFE!
