This woman is incredible, she can sing effortlessly in the "whistle" range that Maria Carey has to work hard to get. She was the favorite back up singer of the Rolling Stones. They would bring her out to sing now and then as well. Her lead guitarist, drummer and bass player are equally talented.
Steve McLaughin Mariah Carey* and Mariah doesn't have to work hard to get it, do your homework first and watch some performances plus Mariah was born with nodules yet still did the impossible with her voice. Love to see Lisa do that
I"m haunted by a constant flood of Lisa Fischer's live work, all of it with very bad sound quality that frustratingly masks one the greatest musical talents of the last several decades. When oh when are we going to get this fabulous artist into the recording studio or at least organise some professional recording at her live performances.? PLEASE ! ! ! This is starting to amount to a crime.

Lisa does have the most astonishing voice but something a lot of commentators miss is her unequaled mike technique. She could lecture on the subject.
