I'm 46 and found out I had Lynch syndrome at 40. How I found out was a female cousin of mine was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer which is rare in women. Unfortunately she did not survive and was only in her mid 40s. The doctor tested her and found the Lynch syndrome so her parents were tested. Come to find our her father had it who is my mother's brother. My mother found out she had it and so I was tested and found out I had it. I have 3 children and have to wait until they are 25 to get them tested. I pray they don't have it

My daughter's suffer from severe constipation almost constantly. My oldest has seen blood in the stool. The doctors are pretty much worthless. My kids live on mirilax. I'm worried there is something more going on and they just don't do the looking because they are to young.

You could be proactive and insist on colonoscopies for them. A colonoscopy is the only procedure that will show what's going on in all of the colon.

I would love to know if Burgess is Danielle's maiden name or married name. I have Lynch Syndrome and I am a Burgess. We know that cancer goes back at least four generations in our branch of the Burgess Family (the fourth branch). There is a published genealogical history of the Burgess Family that lists three different Danielle's in the third and fourth branches of the family. My efforts to persuade other family members to be tested have fallen on deaf ears. I'd love to speak to another family member with LS, even a distant one.
