Could you do a vid showing how to get it onto a monitor? 2nd question is, this school year, I discovered and made many ads on Slides and wanted to know if Slides can be transported over to finish up on Canva? Thanks for the speedy response!
It’s actually really easy. Once you have your design all set you would export as an MP4 video. Then you would upload that video onto your USB as you would any other file. Then you would plug your USB into your tv considering it supports USB. Then you would have to follow your TVs instructions on how to access your video file. Thank you for watching the video and for the support! If I understand correctly you would just need to switch out the custom dimensions. 👋 Hi Alice, if you’re using the free version of Canva they only allow you to download a medium / low resolution of your final design. I hate that they do it but I understand why. If you want to download a higher resolution I would suggest starting a Canva Pro trial, then downloading your design at a better resolution. Other than that I’m not aware of any other way to get your images sharper with a free account. I hope this helps you out Alice! Also, I just wanted to thank you for your time and support 🙏. Richard
Hello sukhjindersingh6800, I'm sorry, but I'm having some difficulty fully understanding your question. If you're inquiring about the possibility of using three TV screens as one long screen, then the answer is yes, it is indeed possible. However, please keep in mind that designing, animating, and adjusting such a setup would require a significant amount of time and effort. In my opinion, it would be advisable to consider using a paid digital menu service for a project of this nature. Opting for a paid service would provide you with a more comprehensive experience in terms of design and testing, especially considering the advanced nature of your request. Thank you for your time and continued support for the channel! Richard

Hi! I have a question. When I display my menu as a mp4 on my TV and I have it on a loop, it displays the header, play/rewind/fast forward, etc. everytime it replays. Do you know how to make it so that this does not show?
Hey there P K, depending on your TV you might have the ability to remove those options. On my Samsung TV I have the ability to remove some of them but not all. On other TVs you have the ability to completely remove them, so just have a look at your TVs manual or just play around with the advanced settings. I hope this helps you out and if you have any other questions just let me know. Richard

Hi, I would like to make a portrait menu just like you did, I also made the dimensions just like you (1080x1920) but when i view this on my Tv its not in portrait, its in landscape with blackborders on the right and left. So to make a portrait menu I would have to edit the menu at 1920x1080 right? but its wierd to edit like that cuz i have to look at my monitor at a 90 degree angle while i edit. Is there another way to do it?
👋 Hey there DleViXer, this is such a great question! I ran into the exact issue a long time again and thought to do that same, but like you said working at 90 degrees will kill your neck. The solution would be change the orientation on your tv and not your Canva project. So I would keep it at 1080x1920 and just export the file onto a USB. From there you would connect that to your TV and just change the viewing orientation. So no need to mess up your neck with the changes. I made a video on the upload and viewing setting for a horizontal digital menu that should also help. Have a look at that and just comment back here if you have any questions. Thank you for all your time and support! Richard

This video was created as a solution that would cost little to nothing. So it’s not the greatest option but it sure does work. Thank you for your time and support magic! Richard.
I noticed you mentioned exporting it as an mp4 file and load it on a USB to connect to the TV. Is there a way I can edit and push it to the TV through a url?

@@UBMD Hello…I followed your instructions with the canvas size for portrait mode for tv menu…but when I load the usb to the TV, it doesn’t convert the image in vertical upright image. Is there anything we have to do prior to we save the project to thumb drive???
Hey again! Would you mind sending me a picture of what the tv looks like once you load the video / artwork? I’m not 100% sure what is going on, but if I have a visual I might be able to troubleshoot it faster. It could just be an orientation setting on your tv, or it could be an issue with the output file. @@UBMD hey…I was able to solve my issue. The tv has a weird setup and after researching a bit, it became easier to fix. Cool. However, Canva is ball-and-chain-ware. The format is locked to their platform. A change in terms, pricing, or they fail, and your work evaporates. And the skill you had in working on the platform becomes worthless.
Hey there chriscaldwell4141, You are 100% correct about that. While Canva is great for small teams or individuals who can’t afford a product like Photoshop it does sometimes have a dark cloud over it. I still think it teaches people about design principles like layout, color and hierarchy. I believe Canva will be purchased in the near future by Adobe for a very large sum of money. Hey Man love the video ! got a question how did the pic of coffee blend with background ? did you get from somewhere or did you use photoshop?
Hey Justmindless H8! Thank you for your time and support! For this video I used some pre made assets that were already transparent PNGs. These could be made with photoshop or a free photo editor like gimp. Let me know if you have any other question! I’m always happy to help. 🤘🏽
Amazing video,
Hey Dj Piper, I really appreciate that my friend! I do my best to bring some sort of value to viewers. I hope this helps you out in the future.

Question, after creating the digital menu, is it as simple as putting it to a usb and then to a television, or is there software needed
@@djpiper4513 You are correct! You can add the image or video of the menu onto a USB and plug that into your TV. Have a look at this video ruclips.net/video/cewHCBJM7a0/видео.html and see near the end for my process.
If you have any other questions just let me know!

I need to make a slideshow for a menu im making for a burger joint. Do you have any recommendations for that? Thank you for your help!
Hi Grrumpy Art! You can make a slideshow super easy in Canva. Checkout the link below with more instructions and free templates.
www.canva.com/create/slideshows/
I've yet to create a video on this sort of project, but all you would need to do is save this out as an MP4 and upload it to a thumb drive.
Have a look at my latest menu video and just jump near the end for more instructions on how to export your slideshow. It's really the same process.
I hope this helps you out, but if anything just comment back and I'll be more than happy to help.
Thank you!

Whats the song called u used in the background ? :D
That is a great question jangatzer, and one I wont be able to answer haha. I know it was a free audio track from the youtube creator resource section, but other than that I have no idea. If I find out I'll be sure to let you know.

Thanks for the video . But I have a question . I just realized I need to turn my screens (43”) vertical would the custom dimensions be the same just reversed.
Thank you for watching the video and for the support! If I understand correctly you would just need to switch out the custom dimensions. So for example, if you had your width as 43” and your height as 20” you would just switch it to 20” width and 43” height. I hope this helps, if not just comment back and I’ll see how I can help you.
Please how do I start? Do I need to sign up where?
This was made with Canva which is a free design site. You can create a free account by going to Canva.com or using the affiliate link pinned at the top of the comment section.

Hello, I really enjoyed this video is there a way to have the png file not to be blurry when being shown on TV?
THANK YOU
👋 Hi Alice, if you’re using the free version of Canva they only allow you to download a medium / low resolution of your final design.

Plz help. I need to have 3 screens run as 1 screen. And pop up photos. And a background image.
Can u tell me if that’s possible.
Richard
U need video wall controller device to do that

Richard
@@UBMD Thank you for your quick response! Do you happen to know what those are called so I can look for it?
@@pk2095 on my TV I believe it’s call playback options. For example when I select the media I want to loop there are some advanced settings. From there I have the ability to make changes to the playback settings.
I hope this helps you out!

@@UBMD This is helpful! Thank you so much.

Hi bro! I'm planning to recreate this. After some reasearch i discovered that I can publish my design as a functional website. How I can create a touchable template that can send information to a system or like a touchable order screen
Hello STEVEN16, that is such a great use case! I’m not sure how you would even go about creating something like that in Canva. I’m sorry I don’t have the answers, but please if you’re able to make it work let me know.
Good luck on your journey and sorry again I was not able to help you out.

Is it possible to control text shown by xml or text file so i dont have to do techy things just write texr in xml and thr programs reads and animate that on screen?
If not possible with canva which other s.w can do it?
👋 Hey magic! From what I know Canva would not be able to read an xml. That would be a really cool feature I think.
As for an alternative that would, I’m sure there is an actual company / program that would be able to do that for you. I’m not sure what company would be able to.
Hey Thonebai! I think you might be able to preview it through Canva or some sort of share link, but I’ve never tested that out.
If you figure a way to do that please let us know because that would be epic and save a good amount of time.
Thank you for your time and suggestion!

my tv wont keep the image static. Its so anoying. it starts playing its screen saver and iv been through the options four times over. SOS
Hey No Name Brand, I’m sorry to hear that! I’ve noticed that this tutorial works great with newer TVs. Some of the older TVs have the issue you and other are experiencing.
This could be an issue with your TV’s sleep timer? Im not 100% sure, but I would try messing with that. If you are still having issues you could always connect the menu with a laptop and HDMI.
Might now work in your case but it’s just an idea. I hope this helps you in some way No Name Brand.

Hello…after you designed your animated menu board for vertical tv…what format did to export it in?
Hey there TheeActivOne, thank you for taking the time out of your day to watch my tutorial. It means a lot 🥲.
Canva allows you to export MP4 videos, so I did just that. Once you have that file you’re ready to rock and roll.
If you have any other questions feel free to comment and I’ll do my best to help you out.
Thank you again!
You can send that over to caicedodesign@live.com along with anything you think might help me.
Thank you and sorry you’re having issues with tutorial. I’ll do my best to help you out. 🤞🏽

@@UBMD hey…I was able to solve my issue. The tv has a weird setup and after researching a bit, it became easier to fix. Also, when saving/downloading my design, I found it best to save as JPEG file and to my camera roll. Once there, I was able to edit and rotate the image to landscape. After loaded to thumb drive, just needed to make sure to add (IMG) at the beginning of the file name. I truly appreciate you following up with me…that meant a lot.
That’s great to hear TheeActiveOne! I’m always happy to help when it comes to design and guidance.

would you recommend to use this kind of menu for a website with wordpress?
Hey there DrStoned 👋
I’m not sure I completely understand your question. Would you mind giving me some more details? I guess you could create this in Wordpress and connect it to a tv via airplay. I’ve never tried anything like that though.
i just wanted to have a similar feature for our website but i didnt see its meant to be a board my bad 😅
Ohh haha, no worries! Also thank you for taking the time to watch my video. Stay safe my friend.

how to save on flash drive to use for tv
Hey Fahad Butt! Once you export the Canva project as an MP4 file, you would upload it to your flash drive as any other file. From there, if your tv supports usb you would just plug it in and locate the MP4 file. Have a look at this guide on how to do just that down below.

Cool. However, Canva is ball-and-chain-ware. The format is locked to their platform. A change in terms, pricing, or they fail, and your work evaporates. And the skill you had in working on the platform becomes worthless.
Hey there chriscaldwell4141,
You are 100% correct about that. While Canva is great for small teams or individuals who can’t afford a product like Photoshop it does sometimes have a dark cloud over it.
I still think it teaches people about design principles like layout, color and hierarchy.
I believe Canva will be purchased in the near future by Adobe for a very large sum of money.
