- STEPN is a Move 2 Earn game building on Solana and really getting into the communities eyes and minds. It's a very basic start to the game, you move for 10 minutes a day with an NFT of a pair of sneakers, and you earn $GST every day!
Sockets actually have up to 5 levels, there are currently 4 gem colours, and I'll walk you through the basics while looking at a common sneaker that's setup for 4.0 energy.

Hey barndog, thanks alot for the video. Question : I have socket 1 for efficiency and socket 2 is for luck. My base luck is 9 and I want to put a gem level 2 on my shoe to have luck level 20 and keep all my upgrade points for efficiency. Can I put a gem on the socket 2 even if I have nothing on socket 1?
yes absolutely, you aren't required to open them in any order, and can skip some unneeded ones

Why do you think everyone is stopping at level 19? Is it because of the 80 GST cost?
That and also, unless you have an amazing sneaker with great base stats it’s just not worth it. I’d rather put that 80 Gst towards an uncommon sneaker or minting more sneakers.

I get the saving 80 GST to eventually mint a sneaker... But an uncommon sneaker is more expensive than 80 GSt, right?
@@wrrdelacruz An Uncommon goes for around 1000 GST. Most stop at level 19 which is the fastest to reach the point where you can take the return of your investment. If you are thinking on the long run and have a good shoe with good gem slots and attributes going to level 28 it is worth it.
For myself I am stopping at 19 until I reach 9 Shoes + Uncommon, than I will level that uncommon to be my main till 28.

I would love to reach 9 sneakers to. But is this is going to be with one main uncommon. And how I'm going to get the other six (I have 3), by buying or minting. I still have to figger out what's more profitable for me.

Hi, great videos BArndog! Being new to this, sad that I didn´t watch your videos before. Would have bought a pair of jogger instead of common walkers and also checked the base attributes before choosing. Nevertheless, right now I have a common walker sneaker, upgraded it to level 9 using the attribute distribution recommended on Stepn guide. I have this resilience socket that I can open for 10 GST but don´t know what to do. What would it mean to open it? Saving on repairs? Is it worth while if I for the moment can´t spend money on buying new shoes? Should I leave it as it is and save to buy a pair of joggers instead?
opening it doesnt do anything unless you have a resilience gem to slot into it

Hi. Thanks for the video..now I understand the uses of Gems/sockets. Btw, I am wondering why I dont get mystery box. I'm using 125% strategy (every other day) on Level 9 main walker (+ 2 sneakers) for 3 weeks now., but til now im am not receiving any mystery box. I have E=37.9 , L=8.2, C=5.8 and R=10.4. I also used stepnguide, and it shows I will get mystery box. Please help. thanks
You need more luck, at least 16-20

I retired the mystery box opening for awhile due to efficiency being a better option, will likely re-do with this weekes Easter events :)

That site is good, but it's not 100%. I have used it a lot, and my actual ROI was 2 GST lower (98 instead of 100). And this is like that every day, so not because of moonwalking etc.
yup, I have said it's not 100%, but it's still a super useful site

@@nossy232323 for me with lv9 common shoes it fluctuate a lot, I know that they have random variables in their equation but it is very unstable in my case. so I don't understand why is it like that for you
