Do you know a story you'd like me to narrate? Leave a comment below to let me know!
I liked the narration, the only word of warning I'd like to give is a lot of narration focused channels got into trouble w/ youtube for just having rolling text on the screen, so they added other things like game play from video games, aquarium videos, figurine painting, etc. Looking into that would be my only suggestion! Great job, looking forward to part 2.
Normally, you dont see text at all in the audiobooks I have seen. My suggestion is put the text in the subtitle file, and show some static image.
@@wisnoskij my suggestion is Forts footage because incursus
Huh, this is definitely unexpected.
Never thought you'd start narration, and even less, one of the stories I've been reading since day 1. Huh.
You have my interest
I read the entire series up to where it’s currently at in one night. It is absolutely amazing. Love to see you branching out by the way!
Unexpected but definitely worth a listen. Haven't heard this one. If you do more will listen. No strong opinions on improvement at this time. Like how you did the voice of Emma.
With your voice this was a logical step. Love to hear stories narrated by you. Voice acting was great and I hope to hear more!
Yeah I just love his voice. Just found out about this, and can't wait to listen fully.
OK. I'm hooked. A few mis-steps, a couple words missed, and a definitive need to read through it once more before recording so your tone matches the emotion supposed to be conveyed... But I'm hooked. I need more, man.
Was really cool, awesome way to mix things up from the gaming and interested for more :D
Since you have such a magnificent voice, it's the next logical step to start narrations! Nice Work
Yeah, ever since I found this channel, I have been in awe at his voice. It's just so calming to me, and having just found out about this, I know what to watch (or listen to) next!
I've listened to a fair few story narrators, and you're probably the first to properly do scenes where someone is cut off in their speaking. Great stuff! Also, HFY for the win!
100% not the first. Pseudopod did that over 15 years ago.
Sounds wounderfull
I am very much looking forward to the next episode
Also your voice acting is on point
Oh man been meaning to read this series but never really found the time to. Cool to see that you're going to be doing a reading of it!
Well, I am definitely going to watch this series ! Very much enjoyed the narration you have a very good voice for it.
Great first showing of this style of content, good voice work, I like that you affected different voices for different characters. The narrative speed was fast enough to be engaging without losing me, some narration from other content tends to be fairly slow and over-affected voices that become difficult to follow because the pace slows a bit too much.
Clarity was good. Keep it up.
This story get very good. And makes you really want to remove everything in the nexus
i cant wait for part 2. this introduction already has me hooked
This was awesome, I especially loved the voices. To hear the voices of beings we have so much to learn about fills me with curiosity. I especially loved Emma’s voice, just some little girl inside a machine of war and with the echo. I’m very excited to see the next part
I love your game content, they're definitely your jam.
If you're having FUN doing this narration then enjoy yourself but please don't drop the gaming stuff.
WHAT I FOUND THIS STORY A WHILE AGO AND HAVE BEEN A FAN OF YOUR FOR FOREVER SINCE WHEN BRUH HOW DID I MISS THIS
A friend of mine recommended this series to me around a month ago.
I would like more and longer format. But it was quite nice to listen to at work.
More of this, please and thank you!
What are the chances????? I recently read this story on reddit.
Not what i expected from here... And im here for it!
I did not expect to see HFY on this channel. Not that I'm complaining. I always thought that you had a good voice for audiobooks, and it seems I was right.
Good choice of story, too.
T H I S!!! I love power armor to a magic school
I like all the voices except for the one you use for everything.
I've recently been listening to a series called dungeon life. Hoping this series will be as addictive.
Great voice work, I highly approve. My only criticism would be the text needs a proofreading editor.
As to how to make the series even better, if you could partner with an artist to do a few illustrations for each video in the series, that would take this to a pro level. I've seen other story series do the same, such as Andrew Klavan's "Another Kingdom," and various lectures/plot thread summaries by Nerd of the Rings.
yes.
I must say, you certainly have a narrator's voice
I really liked this, you voice is very soothing. I would very much enjoy listening more. One request would be to add some sort of indicator for which bit of the text is being read (maybe a highlight or arrow), I enjoy reading along, but sometimes lose track and It would be very helpful!
Think i liked it
Love this sort of stuff.
Even though I have seen this one he has peaked my interest
Exellently and entertainingly read!
It's an interesting beginning. I like it, just remember to develop a firm consistency in your mechanics. I hate my expectations getting Yo-Yo'd between inconsistent Identifiers and descriptions... As of the last year I've been reading a lot and the biggest failing tends to be a laziness in structure. For instance, It's a bit obnoxious to act like someone has unparalleled power in the first book and then in the second, all of a sudden everyone's less impressed because apparently theirs all kinds of people out their world that can kick the crap out of them. This can be fine as an uncovered mystery, but most of the time the change is abrupt and unrefined. Essentially just dropping a new attitude based on knowledge the character supposedly had the entire time. Also, If you're going to write long elaborate fight scenes, make sure to justify any long winded conversations between characters. Some authors have a bad tendency write a five minute conversation between teammates in the middle of an open conflict where they are being specifically targeted. While one can engineer special circumstances to lend credibility to said situations, many authors fail to observe my aforementioned considerations. Admittedly I'm venting my frustrations with modern storytelling but you asked for thoughts so here ya go lad =). Good luck
Good job really enjoyed this!
Its so strange that this channel just happens to start narrating a series i've been reading since its inception, and I stumble across it after having watched your forts content years ago.
I've mixed feelings but I cannot put them into _words_
At first I thought I miss clicked Agro's or Netnarrator's channel
I WANT MORE
What! Oh yessss! Fucking hell yeah.
take my money
more forts content please 🥺
well it sounds interresting so go for it if you like to try something new
