Those who listen to WipEout soundtracks regularly are the most GOATed people on the planet. Not tryna hype myself up, just to remind you that you have excellent taste in electronic music and that Psygnosis were truly one of a kind when choosing tracks for their games.
thanks ;)
Man of culture
Playing a Wipeout PS one disc in your CD player meant, of course, you're gonna get forever hooked on amazing UK electronic music! Come on, this is basic =)
@@hackalacka yeah Ik but I wasn't even born during that time. If I was, I would probably do the same, no questions asked
😅 thanks. Been listening to this album off and on for decades. I'm now 41 years old and now I'm back downloading all my favorite tracks atm while typing this.
Remember the poor old 14" mono TV struggling for life trying to handle this track.
How did it sound I’m curious lol
Not that there was a shortage of amazing electronic music back then, but whoever chose the tracks for this has TASTE
this game was a jewel
all playstation 1 games was.. they were made by ancient game gods.. now we have just replicas.. class made jewels..
Wice Orc *most, not all of them.
abel alcarez dont ruin this. I lived in different reality back then. now it´s like i am living in a mirror world.. i dont know why it is like this
Ok i guess
Still is.
I recently found this game amongst some of my old stuff, and it still works! Oh man is it nostalgic to play! I used to play it when I was about 7 years old. Not only is it a good game, but the sound track is superb. I can’t say I was a fan of jungle when I was 7 haha.
feisar forever
Photek..you the man...
The first dnb track I ever heard and I didn't even know as a kid
Hahaha the same.
Same.
Same my friend. With this game I met eletronic music in general
What a track! My dad went crazy. "Turn that down!" My responce: "Can't hear you". :)
This song always was my Gare d'Europa theme.
Easily one of the best tracks of the soundtrack
When I heard that one I already knew that we start at 15 challengers and finish at less than 12.
So much blood leaked with this tune. I remember that dramatic race where it just left 9 contenders (I killed 4 guys with the "herbicidal" blue weapon which one shot everything and 2 others were killed by random AI)
Sounds like an epic ass battle theme, which I'm in for it
This and FSOL!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
wipeout OSTs are always insane. I wish Pulse OST was on vinyl too :c
My groovy childhood memorys love music and all Wipeout games
i was not ready for this beautiful type of music as a kid.
Why does this sound like it got made yesterday?
it sounds like it got made tomorrow
It sounds like it got made
damn this ones a banger
omg that was my 2nd fafourite track in that game!!!!!
Sounds like a ps2 disk loading up at the start I love this game best one followed by 3
Love their drum and base style! Photek! FTW!
This is crazy good
Love this tune. I thought it was on Wipeout XL though? (Doesn't matter haha. The point is, this track is soooo dooooope)
wipeout 2097 is the actual name. for some reason, as we always do in the states, we changed it to XL
@@AQT187 you can tell by the cover that this is european version: upper left corner "PAL" was the old european tv screen layout, while "NTSC" is the american ...
sony america felt americans couldnt cope the concept of a game title with a future date and would wonder what happened to 2096 , 2095 etc .
Annihilation Maximization I just read that on Wikipedia .. made me laugh 😂
Thank you
Pro tip: dont listen to this while scootering. This is from experience. Still a kicking track tho!
Best game ever
it amazes me how this game (and wip3out) aesthetic still feels "futuristic" to this day, from the team logos, to the fonts, the soundtrack, even the sound effects
psygnosis + designers republic + late 90s UK electronic music really was a match made in heaven
(also if you're looking for that old wipeout experience on PC you should check ballisticNG)
I love all wipeouts specially on 64. taking it backkkkkkkkkkk.
Dope! anyone done a modrn rm of this?
Donk.
Donk
Mine ....
2097 and wip3out were the best. It went downhill after these....
